I purchased Poivre 23 last week even though I am from England lol just don't go to London very often, I almost bought Benjoin as like you said - no plans to visit Moscow, I am trying to hold out until next year; I go to Amsterdam often so will hopefully pick up MDC in July as long as Covid is done. Holding out until I go to Paris again for Vanille 44. My top 3 would be - Poivre 23, Benjoin 19 and Vanille 44. Great video as always.

Vanille 44 is my favorite perfume! I buy a bottle every year.I brought a 15ml of Gaiac 10 last year. Ordered samples and I like Aldehyde44 ,I want to like Citron28 but it went citrus bug spray on me. I'd love to see more videos on Le Labo fragrances. Nice review!

Gaiac 10 for sure. Tried a few others such as Musk 25, Limette 37 and Citron 28 but the former is too sweet and latter 2 has too much jasmine in it which is a big turn off for me. Thing is even with such a price tag, Gaiac 10 is now a fairly common fragrance as I had smelled a few times from both sexes so i’m not sure if it’s worth it anymore.

Benjoin 19 is one of my favorite Le Labo fragrances, and you're right I detect a common note with Patchouli 24 perfume oil.

I enjoyed this Le Labo city exclusives video. Tuberose 25 is the only one I own (in the smallest size which was still expensive). I purchased it when it first cane out at the actual store on a trip to NYC. I have quite a few of their regular line.

Lovely take on the city exclusive. I only own santal 33 and the noir 29 which I love so much and I’ve tried lots of others from the house but non from the city exclusive. Now that I know your preference in city exclusive, I would seek for a sample as your recommendation means so much. 🙌

I m dying to get the musk 25 but these are just soo expensive that I dont think I can justify it... how would you say this compares with clair de musk from Serge Lutens? Or what other fragrance lies close to it in the way it smells but not in the way of what it costs?

I haven’t met a Le Labo that felt worth the price, compared to similar perfumes. They feel too clinical, as the name insinuates. Thé Noir is the only one I’d consider. Gaic 10 is nice, but I’d look elsewhere for a Gaic scent.

LOVE Gaiac and Bigarade, but they are just way too expensive (with shipping and customs on top, I live in Swtizerland). I would love to find "dupes", but I am afraid it will be almost impossible - even if I search with the specific notes..

Aldehyde 44 doesn't smell so floral. Hmm I might have to do a comparison video! LOL! I don't have A44 from a bottle so once I get if I do I'll have to compare them! :)

Thanks for uploading this video! I loved your review - great descriptive insights for something that's pretty hard to be descriptive about. I have Gaiac 10 and Bigarade 18. My favorite fragrance of all-time is unfortunately Gaiac 10 (so expen$ive) and I"m thinking of adding Musc 25. I will be picking up Citron 28 the next time I am able to visit my family in Seoul post COVID-19. Can you imagine if there were a Le Labo fragrance called COVID-19?

Exactly. The main line fragrances are already very expensive. There is no reason for the exclusives to be so much moreso. It makes me dislike the company in that they pull this kind of nonsense.

@@BlondeRedheadislove ya right, I’m not sure how companies put a price tag on a fragrance Willy-Nilly. I suspect the production cost must be just 1/3 of that price tag. Additionally they market it as “ Exclusive” to make it sound it like they are Elusive, my foot !!! I guess if we all stop paying this price, the demand will go down and so is the price. Best line of attack unless Le Labo doesn’t give a damn about the sales, then that will be whole different story !

How about the new one - Souel? I heard that is jasmin accord. Benjoin 19 is good, but not that good with its price. There are many other good balsamic perfumes cheaper than it.

Benjoin is my favorite, but on me it doesn’t last. I’ve had my sample for a few weeks and I get maybe an hour. Still, it’s amazing! What is your experience with the longevity? I just picked up a bottle of Musc - phenomenal. For me this is a great daily wear and lingers forever. It kind of reminds me of Le Labo’s Labdanum, but a summer flanker? Lastly, I decided to buy Cuir (Dubai). Initially too intense, but it really grew on me. Boozy, leather, vetiver, cypriol, vanilla and Ambroxan. Maybe not one of Nathalie Larson’s best, but I love it for when it eventually gets cooler in NorCal. Thanks Sebastian!

I’ve only smelt the Amsterdam scent and it’s just too sharp for me. It’s not cedar sharp but cedar 2.0 sharp- medicinal and astringent. I plan to make my way down the list, I’m very curious about the Gaiac 10.

This is more animalic for sure. Kieh's doesn't come off animalic to me. For sure there's some synthetic animalic funk in Musc 25. :)
