Excellent review of Pour Le Soir! I have compared the two and I think that the openings are different but the deep dry downs are effectively the same. I am happy with both, minus the pricing. Sebastian, you've never wore APLM and I've used 2 bottles of it and was so upset with it being discontinued! It is because it is my all time favourite when it comes to long lasting freshness. So I am now more then happy to see it returning. However I remember it very well being violet-lavender-citruses-woods. And I hope it is the same. :)

Thanks Sebastian! Loved your reaction! Managed to get a sample from Selfridges last week - absolutely loved it! Have never tried the original, but judging by your initial reaction it's pretty close. I couldn't believe how strange Absolue Pour le Matin was though! It's one of the worst reactions I've had to a fragrance - it's not that it's unpleasant or badly made, it just smells 'wrong' to me, like a musical piece where the notes are discordant. I'm sure it will have its fans, but I'll stick to Petit Matin!

I love the animalic original. Cumin can be done right. It's not a bad note. It just depends on how it's used. Haven't smelled the new one yet.

I need to get my nose on these. I have had such hit and miss luck with MFK. I love Oud, and Oud Satin Mood (and Baccarat Rouge), but I don't care for Silk Mood. At least the price here is good.
