You are the one reviwed first..I finally brought Merocan Amber ,I also brought Pulp blue tune from Mrithul and 5ml samples (Shyamal,Nile to milky way, Honey tabac intense and Amber cocoa).
@Aedmun4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sebastian, I've sampled all four Indian Sandalwood is like you say creamy, though I detected less sandalwood and actually on my skin, I get a very smooth coconut cream with faint vanillin tones, the combination is a faint incense aura. Moroccan Amber I get some pepper but on my skin, it seems to transit into a light wood and leather scent that reminds me of Mont Blanc Explorer and Jimmy Choo Urban Hero. Arabian Desert is interesting on my skin, it smells of dried Chinese medicinal herbs a bit green, a bit sun dried roots, a bit smoky, very earthy. I stop smelling it for a while to rest my nose and went back and can only describe a light floral sparkle upon smelling it. British Leather again is interesting on my skin, it smells of smoked Chinese tea or dried mugwort, deeply green yet bitter leathery fragrance. The leather is nice and reminiscence of a well worn jacket with a faint tobacco trail. Reminds me of my Dad. For me, in order of like: 1. British Leather 2. Arabian Desert 3. Indian Sandalwood 4. Moroccan Amber

The most underrated frangrance in the Dunhill line is Dunhill Pursuit. Smells similar to Tom Ford Amber Absolute.

The genuine smile at around 5:00 when you first get your nose on that Indian Sandalwood is priceless. I'm going to see if the Dunhill on 55th Street in NY sells these. Great review.

The lighting is great! The change isn't really noticeable. I'd noted you were squinting a tiny bit before, but you seem really comfortable now. Glad you found a solution!

Sadly the only Dunhill I’ve tried and have a bottle of is the original Dunhill for men which was originally launched in 1934. I have a bit of catching up to do with this house.

Icon has probably the best quality bottle in the designer game (not mentioned the fragrance inside), this one is even better. It reminds me the old 100 ml Masque Milano presentation minus the cap, of course. I'm not familiar this Signature line, but very well priced even retailed. Bravo Dunhill!

Moroccan Amber is my fave, but I also like Indian Sandalwood. IS reminds me of Tam Dao a bit. I must say Dunhill has been on a roll with its recent niche-style releases. Thanks for yet another great review!

In this video you will clearly see I am not a fan of one of these. Can you guess which before watching?

Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews My guess is Moroccan Amber, & it’s measly performance. Or perhaps Indian Sandalwood(??) for being on the boring side (a gripe I’ve heard before). And I’ve yet to try Arabian Desert. But I can’t wait, it will be interesting!

I did notice you squinting but didn't like to say, Max Forti used to squint to but now he's got the desk he seems alot better....I want to try these, thanks for the review, atb Lee
@jackiejlw54934 жыл бұрын
Never noticed the squinting, however the lighting looks great - dim away until it's most comfortable for you. :) I am also a fan of the *creamy* sandalwood. I might be misremembering but I think Santal 33 has changed it's source of sandalwood because when it first came out I remember thinking it was the creamiest, smoothest sandalwood. Disappointed in the opening for the British Leather and the horrific "charred, freshly skinned animal, skin burning" smell, hahaha. From the names alone I'd veer towards the leather and sandalwood fragrances but the leather one sounds awful. Thanks again for the great review. :)

Dunhill is a great house. I have dunhill icon and custom. Dunhill icon is a great scent but the longevity, projection and sillage is in the weaker side. Need to check whether the dunhill signature collection are good in performance. Please comment down...

from how you described it i would probably prefer the sandalwood one the most also have you tried The Cachemire by dior at all? i have a sample of that and i love it, it reminds me of the green tea drink from the ariziona ice tea brand a bit in terms of how it smells, but a better and more perfume like version of that

I think I may have some fakes in the signature collection, not sure, but by comparison, some of them (including doubles) have some differences, i.e the texture of the indentations on the box, and the writing thickness on the box and barcode. Would you know anything about this?

Is Indian Sandalwood worth the full $130 if I'm a fan of Icon and Century? I can only find it for full price on the Dunhill site. Thanks for the amazing channel. I'm a new subscriber and fan!
@ThePerfumeGuy4 жыл бұрын
You know it's quite a creamy and milky sandalwood totally different than the other two. In fact Century is a sandalwood but more like Le Labo Santal 33 and nothing like Indian Sandalwood. Maybe watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaPRe6KrZbuJi80

I've seen others having trouble with the tops where they break off and get stuck inside the lid. Do you know why this happens and the correct way to pull the tops off? I had this happen to an old Dunhill of mine, very annoying. Ruins an otherwise really solid bottle.

Maybe a bit of a bad design is what I'm thinking. Otherwise yes nice looking bottles.

@@ThePerfumeGuy Yeah you still missing 2 od them (Amalfi citrus and Valensole lavender). I like sandalwood like yourself and brithish leather. This is coming from a guy who owns all Icons from previous line and I find them better then nearly all if new line. One exception is Indian Sandalwood but again for this price I would rather get Chanel Egoiste (not Platinum) or even Wonderwood from CDG (I love wood fragrances).
