This looks like it was set in John Wick 3 times when John went to her group for help. She saw him in their home when he was being taken to see their leader before he died.

They brought in the director of the John Wick films Chad Stahelski to direct more action sequences for this movie. So it's not just Len Wiseman.

No He's Not Len Wiseman can't shoot action which is why this film bought in Chad after they decided the action wasn't good enough and did reshoots so Technically Chad had reshot a lot of the movie...Unless you Meant Bass as as in Chad which is 100% but still wont be "Better" Just different

This movie takes place between JW 3 & 4. Looks like her story could be taking place around the same time as John Wick's story in Part 3. Based on her seeing him walking down the steps with The Director of the Ruska Roma played by Anjelica Huston who he went to see in part 3.

If they do any other spinoffs in the future...they'll really need to get away from the "revenge" trope. The fictional world of John Wick is too violent to have it be such a frequent motivation. They have too many rules, and too much experience. John and this girl should be the only aberrations. 99% of everyone under the Table should have zero motives for revenge. This looks great, and I will absolutely enjoy it. She seems amazing in this role and I look forward to it. All the callbacks seem just right, too. But any future spinoffs really need a different core motive going forward.

Honestly I absolutely agree! They have set up such a great world that it would be a shame just to focus on very particular motive. I would just love to see a spin off with an assassin being hired and having to get the job done just because it's there job, keep it simple
