Back when I was a kid. I used those same brand of inner tube patches to keep my bike on the road. I used to have the holder that you put them in. Then you scratched the paper on the back and lit it with a match to make them stick to the inner tube.

The yucky sticky steering wheel is a bear to completely clean , I use lacquer thinner and clean rag , after you get the layer of grossness off then clean it with simple green

SA200 is a good machine. I have a 49. When I rebuilt and upgrade it I use Stumpfs Welding Supply out of Mascoutah Illinois, BW Parts and Bills Welder Repair. They are excellent sources for parts and information! They’ll have their techs talk you through things. The machines are easy to work on. The engines were put in forklifts until the early 90s. I recommend upgrading the wiring and doing away with vacuum idler by putting an electronic on it.

Looks to be an '81 or newer, I have a '79 that I gave to my daughter in '96 that I have to get going again. I put a 700R4 in it and have to drill the bolt holes on the frame on the left side, get a tv cable that will work, remount the fuel cell and get another carburetor for a Mexican crate built 350. You have any thoughts or considerations you may be willing to share. I can't get enough of your channel. Loving it!

I agree having the right wheels and tires and having the back lower more than the front will change the whole look of the square body truck. If you drive fast the rear end will hug the road better or at least that's how I felt driving mine.
@winger-eo1qf6 ай бұрын
If you lower the rear don't forget to adjust the headlights so you don't blind oncoming traffic

I have owned a 79 Chevy Malibu since it was new. For the last several years, I have been plagued with a sticky steering wheel in the summer. I never have figured out why or how to cure it. Looking at your steering wheel, I would say they are identical except the color.

Barry Gilgen you guys should know that older chevy steering wheels do that, they get all gummy and nasty and even if you clean it off it will just come back, it's the material that chevy makes the wheel out of, it;s nasty after so many years old, change it buy a after market wheel and it will stop
