I shortened the body to 25 rows, and the hand segment to 6 rows, and these fit beautifully on my 8 year old daughter. Thanks so much for this easy to follow tutorial, the gloves are beautiful and my kids are super happy to be getting finger gloves (they think they are super fashionable). I'm looking forward to making somw for me too, I just did a scarf in rib stitch and these will match so well.

Denise, Thank you so much for your KZbin feed and all that you are sharing with us. I, who absolutely DO NOT like knitting, have fallen in love with loom knitting! I created 3 sets of these Fingerless Gloves for my daughter, my mother, and myself. I created hats and scarfs. Along with all you have taught and the weaving that I do, I had a full arsenal of gifts to give for Christmas. You have helped so much and I so appreciate all your videos.

oh that's great. My oldest who is almost 18 now starting cross stitching over the summer. She did lots of crafts last year though. It's not a bad craft along with other needle crafts. I started loom knitting bc I have the darndest time with knitting needles. I can do it but drop stitches a lot. I prefer crochet hooks but the loom is a nice alternative to the needles. What have you made?

I want to thank you Denise. I had made hats for my sister, niece and daughter and wanted to add these gloves. After following the pattern as shown I experimented with a double strand and using a different color for the cuff and top edge. For my final pair of gloves I used a single strand for the body and used the little heart stitch. I wish I could add pics to show you but there you are.

I've been creating winter gear for the coming months (believe it or not, it can get quite bitter in the desert!) I've made a cap, a scarf and the next project seems like it'll be these babies! Edit: I did it Denise! My first set of fingerless gloves! Your explanation of the modified end stitch could use some work, but I finally got it after about 50 times rewinding. Now I can probably do it back and front.

I just love this pattern. Have made several pair with an adjustment for shorter gloves. My bro in law needed a pair, he’s a dialysis patient, gets cold. But needed shorter. I knitted wrist part 20 rows only, came out to 7 1/2” long. Just right for him. Did another pair for sis in law, 22 rows wrist, came out to 8” long glove. Sharing just in case anyone wants to make shorter gloves. Oh, I did knit 2 extra rows on the hand part for the guys. Thank you very much Denise for a great pattern ! Your hard work is appreciated! 😁💐

I'm fairly new to loom knitting and would like to say thank you so so much for your detailed and clear instructions and demonstrations. I subscribed to your KZbin channel specifically for those reasons. (P.S. yours is the ONLY loom knitting channel I'm subscribed to!) When I learned to use the loom I learned to knit clockwise. Okay, I’m gonna see if this helps or makes sense. For all intents and purposes, let’s label the peg to the left of the center 1, and the peg on the right of the center is 2. Each row will go from 1, around to 2. That’s one row. So from 2 back to 1 is a second row. 1-2 is the third 2-1 is the forth. And so on until you’ve reached 6. It can get confusing, if it helps, your sixth row will end on peg 1.

I tried this pattern last winter, but messed up the bind off, so I have one glove that needs fixing (I haven't gotten around to finding someone who can help fix it locally, yet). Undeterred, I started from scratch this year and almost messed up again when it came to the bind off. In desperation I looked at the extra help on the website and decided to try the basic bind off, which worked for me. So now I have one finished glove :-) I think the bind off is a bit tricky because you switch to e-wrap without highlighting that and there's the accidental mistake too. The basic bind off is as follows: e-wrap peg 2 // knit off // transfer loop on peg 2 to peg 1 // knit off // transfer loop on peg 1 to peg 2 // knit off. When there are only two pegs left, transfer loop on peg 2 to peg 1 // knit off // cut yarn and feed through remaining loop and remove loop from the loom, with at least one finger crossed (and both toes). Good luck! Thanks for another great pattern. photos.app.goo.gl/fAMDTYTtS22beqeWA

Denise, could you please tell why mine has a lot of separate little holes? I did it exactly the way you did. Thanks

Two questions (absolute beginner here): Is the purl stitch here the same as "the true" stitch shown on one of your links? And is the flat stitch just a really, really tight U stitch?I've only started loom knitting two days ago and this'll be my second project. Looking forward to working through your website and vids. Thanks. :)

Binky - the true stitch is another version of the Knit stitch. There are several versions: www.loomahat.com/knit-stitch/ Here is a post about the purl stitch: www.loomahat.com/purl-stitch/
