Thanks for the review Summer. Its funny we can knit and crochet but we cant loom. My sister gave me a kit and i could'nt figure it out either so i passed it on to my granddaughter. Summer this is kool my daughter has a 5 below in her city. I might need this. My first kit when I learned how to crochet was similar. It worked just fine. I love red heart yarn I understand that everybody does but it's quality has come quite a ways from when my mom and grandma used to crochet with it back in the day 🙏🌺💗

Love to see you trying a knitting loom. I am a loomer as well. I have many looms and I also can tell you that Target Stores have a larger loom for $3 that is larger to make a child's hat. You can make in the round as well as flat panel and with your blue loom you can also make flowers! I hope you do look into looming just as I do with crochet :) YAY for trying!!

I really like premier Luna, I made a shawl with the Luna and had to frog at least three times never had any trouble came out very easy and turned out beautiful

Let’s just say I’m glad I have all supplies needed to loom if I decide to teach my son, or anyone else. I don’t think any youngster would probably be able to use that kit without knowledge of loom knitting. I could be wrong... but it didn’t look promising. Love my looms. I volunteer for Akron Blind Center and we make hats for a lot of the first graders in Summit county. Fun! You can make a lot of different things with looms.

Luna please, have always wondered about it. There is a tool made just for loom knitting to lift the stitches off the prongs and it is alot more durable. Thank u for the review of that kit

I am almost 72 and I have loomed close to 100 hats on my looms. I love it. It's super easy. Just watch a KZbin video. It's so darn simple - that's why some people love it who are more scared of knitting. If you can knit some of the gorgeous things you've made, looming is kindergarten stuff!

Premiere Luna, thanks. I have tried working with the loom. You pull the yarn from the bottom loop, over the top loop. The top loop stays on the loom. Then wind the yarn over the loom.

Thanks for the heads-up!! Luna! I've used fable. I bought it for my NICU crochet!! There is so much loose fuzz on it, I'm afraid babies would suck it down their lungs!!

Hey Summer, when you start the yarn on the loom you are supposed to do an E-wrap, then bring the bottom loop up over the top loop.

I think that kit would be perfectly fine for a child to play with. I understand why they don’t put good quality yarn into such a cheap package, plus children wouldn’t have a clue about yarn types or feel if it’s their first time using it. Once they practice with the cheaper yarn, they can see if they can make it and decide if they would like to use it again. If so, you could give them a better yarn to make and wear their items. I’m happy for you to review either x

I am a knitter and crocheter but I also loom knit. Loom knitting helps people that have hand problems. My hands hurt at times when I knit and crochet so loom knitting helped give my "old" hands a break when needed and I was still able to play with yarn. Hope your daughter will try looming.

I'm the opposite.. Struggling to hang onto the loom, getting the loops up & over especially if you've done it a little too tight. No loom knitting does not help my hands at all for a break. But weaving does....so peaceful...easy flow. I also knit/crochet.

Summer I find if you use a steel hook it works better to flip your yarn you might want to try that .

Hi Summer. I don't know if you are familiar with Michelle of Crafty Farmgal, but she lives in South Dakota. They just had those Tornados. I don't know if they displaced anyone, but I thought you were talking about giving your FO's to charity so you might want to talk to her and see if they could be of use in Sioux Falls. Especially since summer is so over in SD. Just a thought. You two are two of my favorite YT peeps. Both Godley and not afraid to say so. Such a blessing. (I know you are not alone in that, but still a blessing! And I know you are Catholic and I think she is more Baptist or Pentecostal but we serve the same God and have the same Savior.)

5 yrs ago loom knitting is how I got started with crochet lol i loomed baby booties and someone wanted sandals of course I told them I couldn't crochet lol not! Like a dummy I said sure I can make them lol sat for hours watching tutorials and boom my first pair of crochet sandals were made ... I never picked up a loom again lol

Premier Fable review please. The plastic hook in that kit would bother me giving it as a present for a child because I break plastic hooks myself and they can be sharp when they break.

You need to wraparound each peg .then go back and wrap a second row..then take bottom wrap over top so 1 is left on each peg thenwrap each peg again.and repeat.i bought a set for my grandsons and they both made hats..good luck...byt it takes pratice..now one is crocheting..
