I love your instructional videos for they are very understandable and the view of what you’re doing is very clear. I love this stitch pattern, would love to see it in a hat and scarf pattern.

What a beautiful stitch! Would make a cute hat or baby blanket ❤️
@vegangelist5 жыл бұрын
This would make a cute baby hat or blanket. The fact that the even rows are all knit stitches means this easily converts to working in the round, without having to adjust the stitch work to account for not changing directions, since all of the patterning is created in the odd rows which are worked in the same direction, whether flat or in the round. That's handy when it works out like that, eh? Obviously, not all looms will work out perfectly with a multiple of 8, not it's still useful info.

Hi Denise do you have a pattern for plaid and houndstooth for the round loom to make a hat or shawl or cowl? All I can find is either it's crocheted or traditional knitting. Love your channel and how detailed your videos are. I'm new to loom knitting but have made 5 hats and a fingerless mitten from your channel. I'm enjoying this knew hobby. Thank you for sharing your talent. 😍

First, you ate so talented. Second, I'd like to use this stitch pattern to loom knit placemat and napkin ring. First question: what border would you recommend? Second question: do you have a bowl cover/holder pattern? All I can find is crochet pattern for bowl cover/holder. Thanks so much.
@LoomaHat3 жыл бұрын
Hi - thank you soooOOOO much for your kind words. I think your best bet would be a a garter or seed stitch boarder. AND I don't have a pattern for a bowl cover but I LOVE the idea. Going right now to see what I can come up with - thanks for the ask 😊💛🌻

I plan on making a blanket with bulky yarn. Do you think I would get enough stitch definition? I love this little pyramid. Thank you Denise for this and all of your wonderful tutorials.
@LoomaHat4 жыл бұрын
The chunkier the yarn the less stitch definition with this particular pattern. I would suggest knitting a small swatch with at least 2 pattern repeats. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fH_LZ5Shfdx2Y68

If I wanted to use my Afghan Loom, the KK S Loom, how would I go about increasing the size of the pyramids so that I could make a larger blanket, say for a twin bed?
@mimiDchi5 жыл бұрын
Cute indeed. I just need to know what cast on did you use though?
@catherineportland5032 жыл бұрын
On row 3. Are you repeating it more than once. Or did you mean go to the end of the row then do k8. Please

You said that I need to add edges to help with the curling please can you show me.
@vegangelist5 жыл бұрын
Virdena Roberts what that means, in its easiest form, is that on either side of a flat panel, you need to add stitches that will create a non curling border. This happens, in this particular pattern, because there are just a lot more knit stitches than purl stitches. Worked in the round, you don't have to worry about curling except at top and bottom but, in the case of a hat, if you as a brim, that solves that problem. Alternatively, you could just have a rolled brim on bottom. Back to flat panels: let's say you want to create a scarf with this pattern and you will be doing five repeats of this "8 stitch repeat" (which I'll abbreviate as "8x" from here on out). You can add a garter stitch border on all sides of the scarf, to prevent the curling. The garter stitch works because it has a good balance between knits and purls, since you have the same number of each stitch. The garter stitch border is also ideal for this pattern since it ties in with the garter stitch in the arrows of the design. Ok, so in the hypothetical scarf example, this is what your stitches would be, working garter stitches at the beginning, then moving into the arrow pattern, with only garter stitch on the sides, and finishing with all garter stitch rows again. Here's a visual representation, with the first row on the bottom, so reading it from bottom to top (again, with 8x representing the 8 stitch repeat for any given row): KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK PPPPP8X8X8X8X8XPPPPP KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK PPPPP8X8X8X8X8XPPPPP KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK PPPPP8X8X8X8X8XPPPPP KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK PPPPP8X8X8X8X8XPPPPP KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK repeat the alternating rows of k and p as much as you want to get the border you want. Then, add as many stitches on either side of your 8x stitches, to get as wide a side border as you want. And, of course, work the repeat of 8x rows and all knit rows for as long as you want the piece to be.

Hi Denise! Merry & Blessed belated Christmas & Happy & Blessed New Year! Omgosh I love this pattern so very much & I giggled because u answered a question I was going to ask just as the video was ending & that was that we can do it in the round. I do however have a question on how I would do the drawstring cast on & off for this? I haven’t really ventured into trying projects when it doesn’t show the cast on & off, because I’m a visual learner & just get lost when I don’t see it. But if u can tell me how to work those two things into this project I know I’ll be able to follow ur verbal ( written ) advice as I’m ok with the cast on & off aspect. Thanks in advance & thank u for all u do for us looters out here & god bless. Love & hugs, donna
