Kevin chops it ups with John from Loompa Farms, legendary because all of the modern Chem genetics are derived from its pools. The farm is near Willow Creek, CA - an area in Humboldt known for it's differing micro climates. During this session, Kevin and John talk about John's focus on bringing more sativa lines into the fold due to the resurgence of interest in California; working some of the older Vietnam Black, Panama Red, Durban Poison and some Jamaican genetics. This session was preceded by an incredible 120 day Panama Red with its very cerebral effects. Kevin also discusses his love for the loud terpene profile of the Loompa Headband x 88 G13 cross which performs incredibly well in light dep.

It's wild to think what modern breeders will find in the original genetics with modern tech and "legal" framework. Some of the originals came out of basements with a handful of plants. It's like the '80s 2.0.

Very true... some of these modern strains dull out quickly after a few grams.

I wonder if John from Loompa found any seeds the day he went metal detecting. It's been at least a year and 7 months. I'm curious his findings

Great content in these videos. Keep them coming! I think a focus on boutique/small scale breeders is important for public education as we work towards legalization.

We were getting major weight of all the Miami blues, loompas headband, WiFi packs from Cali and they were moving up to the medical dispensaries before recreational ruined it. My buddy owned a shop in Olympia…. I’m sure he knows who I’m talking about 😂

what about tissue culturing it and bringing it back from a undifferentiated mass or taking a meristem cut and bring the plant back to health.

I wish I could follow you around and just listen and partake! I remember in around 1986 getting my hands on some Skunk#1 and from that moment forward I was in love with it. The farm that produced it was busted and it seemed to disappear. Now I know why and its sad to know that it may be gone forever. I remember walking into my mothers house with a quarter in my pocket and the first thing she said was wow Bruce smell that skunk it was so loud and had a psychoactive effect still searching.

Love this... only problem I have is chem came from bag seeds in 91 and also jjnyc has been doing chem crosses same with a few others so in no way is the loompa headband the precursor unless it’s all a big lie everyone is in on

I found 3 desert island phenos out of tens of thousands of dollars of seeds. The first was Peanut Butter Princess PBB x Royal7 has the most Sour Kush Fuel notes nothing really PBB flavor a tad bit of burnt rubber moth ball but all Fuel Sour D style cant get over it and it yeilds the heaviest of all my island boys strains. 2nd is Moonbelts Rainbow Belts3.0 my Moonbow 112 heavy dom, to me tastes and smokes like Moonbow112 on steroids with maybe added Tropical Lime. 3rd is one I made Gummiez Eddy Lep JetFuel Og dom x Key Lime Petrol and I call it Lime Ceviche regarldess the other Ceviche name mine is Fuel forward heavy Lime fuel on a lite creamy latto dough back end shit is beyond perfect for fuel. I guess Id have to keep 4 the last one is Cherry Kush or CPK 🎉the last true cherry imo

prime ag land is NOT IN THE TRIANGLE I think we all gotta admit that, If it were, we would be growing corn and rice amongst other crops up there. PRIME land is down in the VALLEY. I would assume that is where the future of cannabis will be. I wonder what the Emerald Growers think about that?

Natty Bushdoctor No, Cletus. California Valleys are too hot now. The only place to grow good cannabis in California is in the mountains or right on the northern coast.

The only place to grow "good Cannabis in California is in the mountains or northern coast ".......ok.. Chief. I wont tell that to all the growers I know in the valley...LMAO. In the future you may not want to generalize and make blanket statements like that. PEACE.
