I would just like to say how amazed I am by how much interest my theory vids are getting. I certainly didn't expect this many people to be interested in them. I love reading all your theories and general comments (I do read them all, I just don't have enough time to comment on all of them 😔). I didn't expect the fandom to be this engaged in theory crafting. It certainly makes all the time I spent making these videos worth it. I especially love it when you say that my theories made you see the music videos in a different light! There's just so many layers to Loona's music videos and I think it's important for many to see some of the underlying themes they have (though it makes me giggle a bit when you tell say that all my dumb theories makes sense 😆). My biggest joy though comes from the comments that say that my theory vids is what made them get into Loona and join the Loonaverse! I love these girls, their company and just the overall concept of the group so much that I want to share the brilliance of this project to everyone willing to listen. This was the main reason that I started making theory and analysis videos. So hearing that people gained interest for the group because of these videos gives me a great sense of accomplishment! That said, I know that Loona has a big international community and I've been asked on a couple occasions if my videos can be translated into different languages to be shared. That being the case, I've now enabled translation contributions to all my theory/analysis videos! So anyone interested in translating the videos into their own/different language are now able to do so! Just click on the settings >> subtitles cc >> add subtitles/cc. This should take you to a page where you can upload/type your translations to whichever language you are translating. That way, you can share the videos to your friends/colleagues around the world. Watching all your theory videos in order now. 😍 And omg omg, I just realised something. I just found another Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale: The Shadow! Chuu of course the little match girl and I though Yves could be the Ugly Duckling transforming to a swan. And now Go Won has a tale too. JinSoul can be the little mermaid. Maybe a bit far fetched, but HaSeul (with the short white hair) could be the Snow Queen (killing herself was warming/opening her heart?). Too bad the Frog Prince is by the brothers Grimm, but that sure is YeoJin's tale!

i think she was on the shadow side (silhouette, dark hair, dark mv, etc.) and after she ate her fruit, she went to the other side of the mobius strip, the bright side. she also stays on that side as you can see in 'so what'. chuu and gowon are the only 'bright' scenes in the whole mv. this is just my analysis and my interpretation:)

As some LOONA fans pointed out on Twitter, there were only 3 bulbs on the chandelier that was lit when Go Won was alone on the dinner table, but when she ate the pineapple and turned blonde (left Eden), it became 4. People are saying that maybe Go Won was the last one to leave Eden and that the 12th girl left way before Yves (hence the light bulbs becoming 4 meaning there are 4 girls who left) 😄

The shadow in the very end I think is from the 12th member. As Go Won leaves Eden, she is the only one left there, and is now all alone. In fact, I believe most parts of the MV are seen from the 12th member perspective (like the first scene after Go Won eats the pineapple, at the table). Yves was the pioneer in leaving Eden because she didn't fit there. Chuu followed easily because she admires Yves. Go Won was reluctant at first, but accepted her destiny. The 12th member will probably be the hardest to convince, but will eventually accept her fate as well and follow the other three girls, but I believe is because she will feel very lonely in Eden.

She looking at her shadow reminds me of "Allegory of the Cave", by Plato. In some videos people said "gowon", when together, apparently means "plateau" in Korean. "Plateau" and "Plato" sound very similar. So maybe Go Won = Plato? Go Won would be a philosopher in Loonaverse, someone who thinks and proposes ideas. She breaks from the fear of knowing who she really is, understanding and embracing it, being in total control of herself after she eats the fruit and escapes Eden. The crown she receives could represent self-awareness and knowledge, something she seeks and desires while in "the cave" (as we can see from the shadows).

Oh, I was going to forget of saying this... Probably some of you guys know that story about Philosophy that we have a group of mans (and if I'm not wrong I remember that were 4 of them) that stayed their whole lifes seeing the shadows in the wall in front of them. Then one of them decided to go out of the cave, realizing how the world really was, after this he comes back and tries to convince the others to go out of the cave too (but it's hard for them to believe)... Then the man that went out is now the philosopher, the sun is the 'knowledge' (I'm not sure if this is the right word). If Yves is the leader of this unit, she could be the man, who guides the other three members to the light (making them know themselves), or in another words, Yves "convinces them to fall of the Eden too". I did my best for explain this, but English is not my first language... It's hard. I hope you all understood, anyway :)

I pointed this out on twitter and a lot of people agreed When there's three girls running together in the uniform after Gowon eats the pineapple, you can see they're all dark haired, but Gowon isn't friends with Chuu & Yves until she turns blonde. You can see Yves & Chuu behind the girl, but you CAN'T really see her face to tell if she's Gowon or not because she either is looking to the girls behing her or has hair on her face. Plus: the girl is really tall, but we saw today at loona tv that Gowon has a very small frame and she's even smaller than Chuu. Does a certain tall girl comes up to your mind? Bambi.

I would like to add that the girls come in the opposite order. So at the table, yves was looking at gowon and chuu at yves. They hadnt biten into their fruits yet, only gowon had. The perspective feels like the 12th member was watching. I feel like we have been told the end of the story, but missed a very important step(where the 12th member's MV should be) and thats why the story feels incomplete eventhough eden is now empty. Only a shadow remains, but that could be gowon's shadow. Also eden feels like a passage way for communication, hence the way the MV was shot. Choerry and hyjuin were there as well.

She appears opening the door and looking at Go Won that don't run from her and look respectfull and afraid. The door is opening "alone" looking for Go Won and at the end follow the girls so she will left Eden soon too.

I agree with most of the things you said, but I think there are still important things to consider: 1. The Veil symbolism. The first veil association we have is with marriage. The wife is innocent, pure, must be protected. The veil doesn't cover her until the pineapple part, like you mentioned, to be like a caterpillars and stuff. 2. The whole choreo part until the pineapple is only silhouettes. Only after the fall from Eden everyone's visible. 3. All the plates are empty. Only Red Velvet's cousins (lmao) have fruits on their plates. Like you said, the 12th place is empty, and I agree, I think she was the first one to leave, therefore, the hardest one to find in the loonaverse. 4. Since Go Won was the last to leave Eden, I think "God" or something was overprotecting her, putting her in a pedestal. Go Won was uncomfortable there, and Yves set her free. The last scene with the empty room and the lit chandelier really makes me think that.

Hi!! I love your theories and I loved art class in Chuu's video, so just because of that I would like to mention something you probably missed: Gowon's medallion. (Note: This information was taken from @scarletmyg in Twitter, all credits go to her, I loved it. The painting in the medallion is called "Child with a bird. Mademoiselle Fleury in algerian costume" by the painter Auguste Renoir. First of all, Gowon is a common male name in Nigera (Africa) and the girl in the pic is from Algeria (also Africa). She is holding a bird (Haseul?). And here it comes the second interesting fact: Mademoiselle Fleury: 1.- Fleury means "decorated by fleur-de-lys" in french, one of the most speaked languages in Africa. + Fleur=Flower, and Gowon teasers and the MV are decorated with flowers in many ways. 2.- Madame Fleury was an actress who played in a play of Gabriel-Marie Legouvé in 1792. The name of this play was "The death of Abel". We all know Abel is Adam's and Eve's son along with Cain who were born when they left Eden. So this is interesting because there are some theories saying that Yves should be Eve, Chuu is Adam (because He just followed Eve when she decided to eat the apple) and Gowon should be Abel. Cain killed Abel because he felt envy of him, and Abel was a good man who offered God "fruits from Earth". Btw Gowon has 2 faces (blonde and black hair) and some people say the Bible doesn't explain if Cain and Abel were twins, so Gowon could represent them both.... Whatever, this is another story but the connection is kinda interesting. And that's it. Sorry if my english is not perfect... Thank you for your hard working!! I was expecting this video!!!

For example it means maker of rain and a lot of people thought it'd relate to Jinsoul but there's nothing relating the two of them. So while it is a coincidence i don't think it's anything big?

I really like your point about light - truly a varied sense of the word illumination! At 9:36 she runs left out of the archway, but a few shots later we see her run back into view - from the other side. I'm wondering if she stayed in Eden despite being "enlightened", and this is her accidentally traversing the mobius strip while being chased, as this has often been represented as continuously running to the right. Also, in between these shots, Yves and Chuu who are watching her have moved from behind the wall to stand in plain view, kind of like they're waiting rather than observing. I'm kind of curious as to if there's any significance behind a couple of the cocoon shots being red, while all the others are white.

Remember her teaser caption "Why is my apple so spiky?" 😅 As the comment said, maybe the crown Yves gave her represented a newer and grander version of the "crown of thorns" she metaphorically wore while she was in Eden (she suffered being all alone there after all the girls left), and the pillar at the end of the MV can also reference to her sufferings in Eden (Jesus wore the crown of thorns while being scourged at the pillar) 😄 The new crown can mean that she can finally be free of her hardships and be accepted by all and accepting herself as worthy 😄

I think that since this is a reverse world, the 12th girl was the first to leave Eden, then Go Won, then Chuu and the last was Yves. I also think that on the 12th girl mv they will make an appearance, since on Yves mv she's alone, on Chuu's there is Yves and on Go Won there is them both. Looks like a pattern. If you draw a line following the girls eyes on the table scene, it makes a 4.. but maybe that's just a insignificant detail.. Anyway, I love your videos and I strongly agree with your theories :)

Maybe the shadow was choerry at the end maybe it was her leaving eden? Since she dropped the apple or choerry was being the shadow so she was trying to lead gowon out of eden and get Gowon to the OEC or to Yves and Chuu. Because in girl front OEC they were split apart and were trying to find each other so maybe in Choerry’s MV she traveled to eden in one of the mirrors to find Kim Lip and Jinsoul, but ended up here so she persuaded gowon to go out and at the end she left with her job done

don't really know if it's significant, but when talking about choerry's and go won's "mirror image" that doesn't match their movements in the real world, heejin had something similar in her "vivid" mv! the weird thing is that in her video, we don't get to see her "real world" self at all, the camera only shoots the three reflections singing out of sync with each other. i wonder if it ties into anything. any ideas?

Hey Daebak Jjang I love your videos, I was expecting a contextual analsys, but the one you had with Chuu is too much. Ok there are a few things I think you have missed, first the shadow silhouttes where the girls are dancing tends to form a crown. There are some oddities in this video while Heejin starts with a horizontal panning, this video is in vertical. What does it mean? It is a obvious reference to renaissance art which used to reflect painting of ideals self reflection, while heejin's video is bright this video is dark, there is a bright scene in Vivid where a rainbow lights her right eye, but in this video Go Won is in the dark where a beam lights her left eye, coincidence? I don't think so. Also the only artistic reference I found regarding art is The Girl with red veil by ALEXEI ALEXEIEVICH HARLAMOFF

Finally someone who pointed out exactly what was i think! Yes i agree with you too, from the lyrics and how she act, is not about she's feeling lonely or dreaming about being a queen. She IS a queen but she denied it, bcs of her gesture in the first minutes of the mv like taking a step back (shoe's scene) after she open the window, like she's trying to hid from the light, she's trying to deny the 'truth'. And she said 'time is in my hand' is proving that she's actually not feeling alone, she LOVES being alone. And after realizing her shadow is making a 'merrier' moves than she's, and wearing a crown, however, she became so curious. There's a scene where after the door opened and her shadow ran away, she start chasing it. Bla bla bla after than she contemplating on herself in the cocoon and finally made up her mind to defy the eden. Plus the blonde hair is just a sign whenever she had defying the eden but in the end scene, she's running with black hair, leading the chuuves, maybe they're not in eden anymore, bcs chuuves also have dark hairs in the real world. And the last scene of empty pedestal (its known to put a precious things such as crown) i think because now gowon has finally wore her crown.

Pedantic, I know... but butterflies don't evolve from caterpillars. The process is called "Metamorphosis." Which I think you'll agree has far more... symbolic meaning for Loona than 'evolving'. Metamorphosis is a guided process where something becomes another specific thing. Evolution is an iterative process of change without an end goal. As I say... pedantic... but relevant, right?

I do think the last sub unit has something to do with flowers. In Yves's MV ,she was standing in front of a wall which writes a word "flower" in Korean .And there are flowers in both Chuu and Gowon's teaser photos.What's more,there are lyrics say "oh I know now why the waving flowers bloom" in the end of "one&only".That's just my thought,and we won't know until the last member debuts. : )

The girl who seems to be the one looking at members in their videos, the person who pulled Jinsoul's earphone and gave her a fish so she could become herself, the shadow in this last music video. Probably the 12th girl or... we have a snake among our dear members.

Great theory vid, as always! I seriously can't believe how much stuff you always catch!! My theory on the shadow at the end: Throughout the video we see Go Won's shadow acting separately from her and seeming to represent her future/true self, as you pointed out. We even see it run away from her and Go Won running off to chase it before arriving at the table. I think this represents her being in pursuit of her true self and catching up to it when she takes the bite of the pineapple. After that she walks away from the table, which we aren't shown directly, just her shadow leaving down the end of the hall opposite from which she entered in that final scene. Symbolically it means she "found her real self" and her shadow is back in its place. She walks towards the light now instead of hiding from it or putting her back to it, which would mean her shadow is where it should be, behind her instead of ahead of her. Hope that made sense! :O

i kept noticing the way the dance scenes were shot in landscape while the story/lore parts were all shot in portrait; also the butterfly confetti at the end reminded me of the film corpse bride (as did a lot of the imagery in this mv, the whole gothic thing) when emily was finally able to have a peaceful passing

Wow this analysis is awesome! I really didn't understand any of the MV before, but now I appreciate it so much. The meaning and story behind it is beautiful. Maybe it was obvious, but I'd also like to point out the choreography was always shown as shadowplay, like Go Won had no identity, until she awoke and fell from Eden, and then her dancing was shown in full light and color, with her fully smiling and looking very happy.

this mv confirmed that the 12th girl is part of the fruit club at around 6:20 where light shines on the dining table, and where the 12th girl is supposed to be, it's lit up together with Go Won, Chuu and Yves's places. also like you pointed out, Go Won was looking at the 12th girl's seat. then, if you connect the girl though their debut sequence, its 10-9-11-12(Chuu looking at Yves, Yves at Gowon and Gowon at Olivia) and 10-9-11-12=-22 and if you reverse according to LOONA Mobius theory(Haseul-Chuu,Yeojin-Yves,Gowon-Hyunji,Olivia-Heejin), its 3-4-2-1. 3+2+1+4=10. -22+10=-12. in Mobius theory with Loonaverse, 12 in the real world is -12 in Eden. also if you trace the pattern of their eyes(Chuu at Yves,Yves at Gowon and Gowon at Olivia), it makes a 4 :D

something I wanted to point out during the scene where all three members are at the table: if we put a line between where the members are looking at, you would get a number four (four members?) go won / | / | / | yves__________chuu | | 12th member it looks like the number four (4) in my opinion, this could symbolize that the 12th member is a part of this subunit, BUT I could be wrong as well as for the dish of cherries which symbolizes choerry.

i just realised, as you mentioned, chuu looks at yves who looks at go won who looks at olivias empty seat. when the three girl leave the school in love4eva, chuu and yves are together and don't look back. but go won looks at olivia. similar to how she looks at her in one&only
