Thanks for doing this special pre-debut LOONA content- such a journey. Their side tracks are fantastic until everything goes downhill when Jaden leaves. With post-LOONA, I recommend ARTMS’ 2nd album, Dall, the most. One of my favorite albums from last year, and that was an incredible year for music. As good or better than the best of LOONA, which is top tier.

i think it’s pretty disrespectful to say “everything went downhill” when jaden left. he was not the end all - be all to their music. the girls worked incredibly hard on all of their releases, constantly improving their skills and getting better with each album. only one ot12 release was done with him, and for everything else he was gone! loona have an incredible discography and every single song is worth listening to once. personally, most of my favourite b - sides and songs come from releases after him leaving the company 🤷‍♀️

you could potentially even do a whole new owc for post-loona stuff and b-sides you couldn't get to this week. i guess it depends on how long you think it would take for you to get to it and whether you're willing to wait lol

The cutesy unit song with dark undertones lol. This one always reminds me of I. O. I's Very, Very, Very. The songs aren't the same, but there's something in the mix that is reminiscent

@Killdeer25 I.O.I were the very first Produce group (as in MNET build a group tv show) and they were really quite good. They weren't around long enough.

The b-sides of the yyxy album are nothing like the title track, in a great way. No cutesy stuff. Slower pace but with amazing vocal runs, harmonies and adlibs. If you have the chance to listen to their album, you might find them to be your favorite subunit.

I do need to start going through albums again, I know that is usually a thing, there is a lot of experimentation on BSides, whenever I go through Dreamcatcher its kinda the same

Oh btw it's pronounced "y y BY y" to make it more confusing 😅 Did you expect something this cutesy for this unit song? It does meet the criterium of being sort of familiar but weird at the same time. And especially Go Won and HyeJu's voices go so well together; and then Yves and especially Chuu's flawless runs. I did always think it was a shame about the Grimes "feature", I did actually like Grimes' music before then, but all she does here is the narration at the beginning, and they could just as well have Go Won or one of the other members do that. But I guess it was mostly a marketing move for a bit of global reach. I think the story by now should be obvious: This is "Eden", this supposedly perfect place, and what better metaphor for that than a prestigious school vibe where everyone has to be at their best, but at what cost. And we see Yves sneak away first, then convince Chuu and finally Go Won to join her and sneak off and run away, and eat some roses? which I guess are a stand-in here for their various fruits. And HyeJu is left behind, the shots of her alone in the woods are so creepy and sad and dark (and kinda matches some of the dark shots in her own video). It's also interesting to note that unlike the previous 2 units, the girls didn't have to meet each other one by one, they all started out together like this, because this MV obviously takes place before these girls' solos, or at the same time, like a retelling with different imagery. I'm conflicted about the ARTMS and Loossemble thing. I'm leaning towards just doing everything in order because of A) the lore and B) the musical evolution. But if you're getting to the end of the story: Hi High, So What, Why Not, PTT, Hula Hoop, Flip That; then the next things to check out I think would be Loossemble's _Sensitive_ and ODD EYE CIRCLE's _Air Force One_ (that's ARTMS era ODD EYE CIRCLE, because all members of that unit ended up in ARTMS so they did a unit album first).

great! more crazy pronunciations lol! haha! I dont think I knew what to expect from LOONA at that point lol! agreed! I never even heard of Grimes til this lol! I was wondering if EDEN was this school, and I was wondering if leaving the school is also jumping from another dimension as well, I was debating on if the whole thing about the flower thing was based more on embracing the opposite? because like flowers, herbs are like kinda the opposite of fruit, I wonder if that has some lead there. ahh! we will have time for it all I promise!
