Loop Control Exercises

Some loop control exercises. I usually start complete beginners with this exercise but it’s good training for any level of caster. Quick shout out to Graeme Hird and Lee Cummings for the “gravity wiggle” and Mark Surtees for the dancing routine (this will definitely give you space in your casting field). very interesting and helpful. I've learned that I have learned much just "playing around" with the fly line, starting with short line, then extending. Just like shooting hoops, or any or athletic endeavor. but no-one is as efficient as Paul in finding the most productive use of time in practice. thanks.

More dancing, please. In fact, I think you should do a whole series of videos of casting while dancing. Maybe start with some light Morris dancing - forming nice, tight loops with those handkerchiefs - then work you way up through the rumba and top it off with a tango. Or just the lawnmower.

Love your videos mate! I dont know if you even do this but, could you make a video about casting really big streamers? When i try , it seems to bounce alot while casting and the streamer is hitting the water with a downward force. Btw we love you here in Norway.

There are a few things you can try with the casting. But first I would look at the flies. I used to have fun with large double bunnies. But big flies have really come on a long way.
