Our family enjoys your videos…we are getting ready for a boat trip…if you have any recommendations for boat food preparation please share!

Glad you are enjoying :). My best piece of advice is plan on eating out WAY more than you usually do -- especially if you have kids with you. There is only so much you can do and cooking dinner was often outsourced after spend the day doing higher priority items like school, navigation, planning, etc. For long passages, I'd cook the day before so that everything was ready in the fridge when needed. Hope that helps a little LOL

Great episode. I thought I read somewhere that starlink was not for boats anymore?

There is a new plan for boats offshore and overseas but inland waterways and close to shore still works great with the RV plan. But of course that is subject to change any moment LOL

Really helpful - thanks so much! Can’t wait to start seeing your after-the-fact videos of the trip once you’re able to start editing and posting. Meanwhile, I’m off to pick up some trash…

I am new to this and I have been watching a lot of your videos along with other loopers videos. My question to you is, Did you have any problems especially in Chicago as far as bridge clearance. I understand that the maximum height is 19'6". How did Sea Shine fare?
@TheBoomershines Жыл бұрын
We bypassed Chicago but still had to get under the lowest bridge which is south of Chicago. We took everything off our hard top and cleared with about 1.5 inches to spare. What an adventure that was!

DO YOU NEED YOUR PASSPORTS AT ENY TIME ON THE GREAT LOOP?
@TheBoomershines Жыл бұрын
Definitely! If you are American you need a passport for Canada and vice versa. Also you will need paperwork of traveling with pets.
@billriley5819 Жыл бұрын
@@TheBoomershines Thank you for that info. I don’t plan on going into Canada during the great loop and we do have a service dog. Do we need our passports as long as we stay in America and if so, there is a route for the great loop through America only yes? I am not a big fan of Canada, so I don’t wanna visit there.
@TheBoomershines Жыл бұрын
@@billriley5819 The Great Loop includes Canada. Otherwise you are just doing a boat trip:) Canada was our favorite part of the Loop. You may want to reconsider.
