Yes Jon keep on doing these videos, there are still people loving and exploring the HD500X in 2020. And since the pod doesnt have a metronome I guess you should start playing as you press the rec button so you don't have a gap in your loop

Revisiting this hence the late comment. I don't understand why there are so many negative remarks. The looper isn't promoted as a key feature, it's just a nice little add on which gives limited application and a taste of what can be done.eg looping a simple chord accompaniment to learn, practise and/or develop other parts. If you want to be KT Tunstall then it's probably better to buy a dedicated loop station like a Boss RC20 or a Ditto. You'd almost certainly never want to screw around using it live with the pre/post selections and end timings to consider.

Anyway on AMAZON. I purchased a ROWIN Twin looper. There is also a CNZ rePETE same unit only instead of 69 bucks it’s 89 bucks because they did a fancy paint job on it. But I checked it out identical to my 69.00 one. Another one is VSN twin looper also identified to mine. In the same case they also make a delay unit called time maker, also distributed under a bunch of names. Only thing is they look sound and feel high quality for 69 bucks. Other delay units with 11 different delays could be 300 up to 600 if you get into strymon. I’d love a strymon timeline right now even though there are newer ones out there but I love the sounds especially ice. I’ll probably get one of these to try out. I can always sell it. I hope when I get my helix someday it may have a better assortment of delays. I’m a little disappointed with the HD500x delays.

you just press stop so its not playing, then you start recording. for me, it deleted the previous recording by replacing it with whatever i was recording

Yes agreed, it is too quiet, how do you adjust volume of the loop? Having to adjust my guitar is counter intuitive and less than ideal for live performance. How do you control volume of the loop??

If you have a E drum alesis drum machine can you plug it into the HD 500 and can you loop the drum sound then loop a guitar or bass track ???

Thanks Jon, I've had the HDX for years and didn't know about some of those things. Have you got a Line 6 Variax in your guitar collection? I've got a 59 and an 89F, used in combination with the HDX and the network type cable they certainly seem to open up a range of possibilities.

My loops volume are never right. It’s either too loud and drowns out my guitar when playing od if I turn down the play back volume then it’s too quiet and my guitar drowns it out there’s really no sweet spot and I’m not sure why?!

Hey. My previous pedal gave me a few seconds prior to commencing playing making sure that everything lines up. With this pedal there are delays at the start due to recording starting immediatelY. Any hacks on this?

This looper sucks. Most looper line up as long as u hit play right when the loop needs to start. This one u hut play when it needs to stop.

@@hermankarels4996 yep prob a smart move. I have the hd500 since 2010 and I actually can’t stand it. Very cumbersome and half the time I feel the sounds are just to “computer”.

Thanks, I haven’t tried my looper yet in my 500 x. I was disappointed in the limited amount of looper time so I purchased a cool little stereo looper that’s got like 3 hours of memory. It was only 60 bucks seems like good quality and had high reviews . Actually it’s Chinese made and once you find it on Amazon you’ll find like 5 of its twin brothers all identical except for the brand name. That is a Chinese mo. Make unbranded products, sell x amount to a so called company where they put that companies name on it. I found out the hard way by buying a laser that way there is almost zero customer support. So to buy Chinese try to find something fool proof. Chinas greatest gift is stealing tech and or reverse engineering it. They fired their ultra fast millle the other day. That was originally designed under bush 43, Obama cancelled it somehow China got it and now we are no longer number 1 military, they can wipe us out anytime because we can’t detect the middle. Sorry for rambling, I guess I said China and was off to the races.
