Awesome! Very nice music! Can you help me? I have a Boss RC-30 and I've seen you've used a mixing board, how did you connect the looper and the mixing board for true stereo performance? (aux sends, maybe?) Thanks in advance!
@Dominik33326 жыл бұрын
hey thank you! you just have to connect the looper an your mixing board with two jack cables and then connect the output of you looper with two jack cables to your recording interface - then you can connect any microphone with your mixing board - make sure to adjust the relationship of R-L on your mixing board and your recording station as well!

Hats off to you, Dominik. There is a lot of good layered music using a DAW, recording one track, one segment, at a time. Live, real-time layering, on the other hand, is a special art all by itself. Beautifully done! You really leverage the looper. This type of thing would really open up the sound-bath performances that I participate in. Nice marimba work, also. And every musician needs a Chau gong :-) Is the RC-1 the only box that you are using? In the video, I did not see you press any pedals. Does the RC-1 keep layering automatically, without any pedal pressing after the initial loop?
@Dominik33324 жыл бұрын
hey David, thanks for you comment. Yes the RC-1 is the only box. I initialized to loop at the beginng with the shaker (you can see me hitting the pedal). And when i go for the last time to the marimba i stoped the recording. The Solo at the end i recorded with the second pair of micros seperately. And also to make it possible to hear what i play while the looper records.

Every time I see this looping device put to use it's simple grooves and bubbly percussion. I want to see this thing pushed to its edge. Noise music, much heavier tribal drumming or some kind or three layered drum and bass. I'm sure it can do a lot more than building up a few loops for jammy jams.
@fuqboi Жыл бұрын
I'm using it to develop a folk/trap punk rockish kinda sound with fat, heavily distorted and fuzzy 808's
@mavericksization5 жыл бұрын
Where are you hitting the loop button/foot switch at. ?
@Dominik33325 жыл бұрын
Hey the foot switch is directly at the beginning and from then the loop goes on until the second time I went to marimba. The "solo part" at the end was recorded by the second overhead mics :)
@EstebanRodriguez-lr6oo5 жыл бұрын
How do you add the layers without press the pedal?
@Dominik33325 жыл бұрын
Esteban Rodríguez with RC1 you just have to define your loops lenght with the first take (the shaker). Now it´s adding everthing that happens continously to the loop until i press again:)

So you doing this all off of one loop overdubbed a bunch of times? Whos running the looper for you?
@Dominik33324 жыл бұрын
Hi John, yes it´s all one loop. At the beginning you can hear the "click" of my pedal. After that the loops repeats all the time and overdubbes. Bevor i go the last time to the marimba i hit the pedal again, so it stops to record and doing just playback. With the second pair of microphones i recorded the marimba solo at the end (without looping).
