One of the things I love about the acoustic performance of telephone line is that although these two guys have been together for decades and know each other so well, the brilliant Richard Tandy smiles as he plays during the song as though in awe of what he is actually a part of. It's almost as if he is feeling "Am I really a part of this?!" I can sort of play telephone line on the piano in the style of Richard, but I have given up trying to sing like Jeff.
