How to 5x your money, the long way: Take a bunch of nickles and put them on the T.O street car tracks, when there's no traffic (for the excited people), then let the street car run them over; collect them and most vending machines will count them as quarters!

I did it on my last holiday, 4 pants, 3 pairs of socks, 2 jeans, 4 shirts, 1 jumper, one coat, one hat. I got stopped at security because they couldn't do a body scan.... but overall it went just fine and I saved 37 euros in baggage! (You can just take the coat off and a layer or two of tops once on the plane - or simply just tie shirts/jumpers to a belt and let them hang down like a skirt of clothes!

Shaun Doyle You gave me an idea. 💡 What if your shirt was also a backpack!? I mean, you'd have to be able to remove it to sit down. 💡 You could also wear pants with huuuge pockets and stuff all your clothes into them. 💡 Or... you could tie all your clothes together and wrap them around your head into a giant turban. Maybe I like to wear a long flowing cape made of clothes bobby-pinned together. Cuz my style is my right.

Back when McDonald's offered a free sandwich with any purchase upon the completion of a receipt survey, I used to get something cheap like a 50 cent cookie, fill out the survey, get the code, then get another cookie and sandwich. $6.48 value cost $1. Then I'd get another receipt and repeat the process. Total spent after 2nd redemption: $1.50. Total value: $11.98. I kept doing this until the survey website said I exceeded my allotted surveys. Then I switched to my laptop and doubled my allotment. 😈 I eventually figured out that the cashier doesn't even input the code or anything, so I was able to get away with just putting random numbers on the receipt, saving time I would've spent on the survey!

Right if it’s the advertised price that’s what they have to sell it for otherwise that’s false advertising. I see that a lot at Walmart. You were completely within your rights to do that legally! Smart I love when people are able to “cheat/(not cheating though) the companies that are always cheating us... or should I say take advantage of ... companies taking advantage of us..

I bought 2 shirts at Wally World from a $10 rack. They would not scan so the lady had to manually enter the product number. The price came up as 1 cent per shirt. Thinking it would be a long wait for a supervisor, I offered to just get different shirts. The lady said "No, people pay too much all the time for incorrectly entered items...The register says you owe 2 cents and thats what you will pay. Thank you Walmart lady!
@ashleysix2523
@ashleysix2523 5 жыл бұрын
Yep...Always push for the listed price...As previously mentioned, they have to sell it as it's marked, otherwise it's false advertisement (just ask for a manager)...However, be aware of Walmart's scams...The "clearance" isle, for example...It's total bullshit...They stock it full of regularly priced items, and mix in a few reduced price items...There are usually no prices on the shelves, so you have no idea how much anything costs, yet they won't get in trouble for false advertising, but...If you check the prices on the "marked down" items with the clearance tags, they're usually only a dollar or two less than the original price, if not EXACTLY the same amount!!! You can even find the same "clearance items" stocked on regular shelves, and even though they were obviously intentionally (and strategically) put there by employees, if caught, the store will claim that they were put there by mistake...In fact, watch your prices on anything you buy there...Clearance items frequently ring up at the full price, and a manager is required in order to change it at the register...This is why I ALWAYS use self checkout, as the cashiers either won't pay attention, don't care, or have been told not to say anything about it...I once had a 15 pack of Monster energy drinks (normally $15.00) ring up as $30.00!!! I called for help, and the girl acted like I was lying...I had to look it up on their site, show her, then get a manager to convince her that I was right...I buy them there every month, and they're not exactly cheap anywhere you go, so I definitely remember when a place has them for $1.00 each (even if only in a bulk buy situation)....Honestly, it's insane how corrupt that place is, and the longer you shop there, the more you realize just how bad it really is...

It's not on the level of the ones in the video but there is a way to avoid payments to a loan company. When I figure out just how much I was paying in extra fees to the loan company I obtained a credit card with a $5000 dollar limit with no interest on the first purchase. I paid off what was left on the loan with the card then tossed it into a drawer. As long as I didn't use the card for anything else and was never late with a payment to the credit card company all payments went toward the principle. I just wish I'd figured it out sooner.

No coffee is cheap at starbucks, a secret people don't get. Its the other stuff that cost, Buy a tall coffee, for around $2 bucks same at dunkin donuts. Difference is, at starbucks, if you have a gold card, "easy to get with a $10 gift card" you get free refills. So you can get a large at dunkin donuts for $3 or spend $2 at starbucks and get more coffee, fresh every time. Or you can keep believing that starbucks cost more.

#3 (House for $16) didn't work out for him. A judge kicked him out and warned that anyone else attempting this could face charges. No mortgages are ever abandoned. If the company closes, the mortgage still has an investor (likely Fannie Mae) who is the one who fronted the money. A mortgage company is just a loan servicer and, in most cases, a loan originator. But the investor can transfer those loans to be serviced by another company. In the case of a bank failing, a loan goes to the FDIC. The FDIC in many cases actually converts those bank-originated loans into mortgages, handing them over to Fannie Mae. I worked in mortgages for 5 years. I saw the downfall and then the resurgence when all the big investors behind the mortgages made more money by taking all these rotten mortgage bonds and servicing them into their own LLCs so that the FDIC, Fannie Mae, and the Federal Reserve Bank of NY could get them off the books. By using HAMP and various foreclosure options (DIL, C4K, etc) they cut the fat, so to speak, and made the bonds profitable again all-the-while obtaining lucrative servicing fees. That's how that game played out. A lot of companies went under but the people behind them only got richer.

#7 When I was a teenager I was working at a gas station. This was back when they still offered full service. This lady pulled up and wanted a fill up, so I started the pump going, cleaned her windows, checked her engine fluids and tires then went back to finish filling her up. the pump clicked off at about 20 cents. Annoyed I restarted it and it shut off at once. I tried again, and again it shit off. Confused I checked her tank and saw it was full. I asked her if she was sure she came in with an empty tank and she was. Then I looked at the gallons pumped. It was over 21 gallons (the price should have been around $1.509) but the pump had reset it's price to $0.009 per gallon. I asked the boss what to do and he said all we could do was charge her card for the price on the pump.

Do you remember the guy who bought pudding during an air miles promotion when the airline offered way too many air miles per pudding cup. I think he got like 1.25 million air miles for like $3100. Also, Tim Horton coffee shops up here in Canada once offered these weirdly planned out stamp cards. You would get 1 free coffee after buying your first coffee. Then it gave you another free coffee once you got three stamps. I would buy a coffee and keep claiming that I'd never heard of their deal, so every other coffee I got was free. It was such a silly oversight, but it didn't even last for two weeks, so I think they realized what they did. The card basically looked like this: [1st stamp] [Free Coffee] [2nd stamp] [3rd stamp] [4th stamp] [Free Coffee]

I know of a loophole at Kroger's grocery store for their fuel points program. You get 1 point for every dollar you spend and every 100 points gets you 10 cents off gasoline per gallon. What I do is this: When they have a 4x fuel points promotion on their gift cards, I buy a $100 prepaid Visa card and then use it to buy gift cards at other places, like retail stores or restaurants. I'm basically respending the same $100 twice, netting 800 fuel points for $100. You can try the same thing at Giant Eagle if they offer bonus fuel perks on prepaid credit cards. Try it!

I once found a loophole that allowed me to fly free for years. Every year I would fly from Vancouver to Manila. I would leave in early November and return during the Easter travel rush in April. Airlines commonly over book their flights. Knowing this, I would make sure my return ticket was on the busiest day possible in April. Then on the day of the return flight, I arrived at the airport very early and inform the airline that I did not "have" to fly that day. They would happily put me on standby and if the flight filled up, they would give me 5000 peso ($100 USD) and a free flight to be used within a year for my sacrifice. I then took the next flight two days later and used my free ticket the following November making sure my return was again booked for Easter. Paid once then flew for free for years. Of course if by some chance the flight did have an empty seat, I would have had to take it. But with a common overbooking practice of 10%, that never happened.

Sometimes NOT paying for stuff can be worse that just forking over the money in the first place (ie. illegal downloading and piracy) because sometimes you may get more than you wanted (malware). Granted WinRAR was probably free, 7Zip is the new thing now and does what most othe others do (Winzip, winrar, etc) and it's free and without any extra baggage (ie. potential malware) as long as you download it from its developer's website.

I was once shopping for an expensive HP printer, which was listed in most shops for around $1500. But one of the stores had it listed for $150. It was a local store, so I made up an online reservation, paid with my card. and drove there to pick it up. Two sales people brought the printer (for it's a big one :)) )... And then I got actually scared I'd be charged with fraud. So I asked them to call the manager, I told him everything. So, he looked thru his pricelists and said there was no error: the price was correct. Then he called the supplier and finally found out it was their mistake. And he said: "You could have actually taken the printer: none of us, neither our store or you would be held liable: it was an HP's employee mistake". :)

Free Roadside- Progressive allows you to sign up for a policy online and pay using a routing and account number. You can use any account, I prefer to use MoneyLion because they are really slow when it comes to processing stuff and they don't close your account or charge you a fee for your account being at $0. So you go to Progressive and sign up for your auto insurance, I always just max out all the options ($100 deductibles, 500k liability, $60/day rental car coverage, etc) and make sure you opt in for the Roadside. Then pay for your coverage selecting the option to pay using your checking account, I usually just "pay" the entire year in full. It takes Progressive and your bank anywhere from 2 weeks to a month of throwing the transaction back and forth before Progressive gives up and cancels your policy and during that time you've got $500k coverage. I don't recommend getting in any accidents or filing a claim though, trust me they figure out pretty quick that you're not actually covered. You do however, get a real valid (at least valid for a little while anyway) insurance card to show if you get pulled over, and where I live officers cant check the validity of your insurance policy they just need to see your card and that it's not expired. Really though you would do this for the roadside assistance. The roadside assistance is active instantly, and it's saved my butt sooo many times. I've been stuck out of gas 3 times and went online to Progressive, signed up for a policy with roadside and "paid" using a checking account, then immediately called and had them bring me gas and 4 times now I've not been able to start the car and I've done the same thing and immediatly called and had them tow it home. (They will tow you within 17 miles for free). After you do it once or twice they stop letting you sign up under your name and you have to start changing like 1 letter in your name or the month you were born, etc. The first time you do it it's a breeze, but after that it can get a bit tricky and it's definitely not legal but if you've never done it before and you're car breaks down and you've got no money, no AAA or any way to get it home use this trick, you'll get home without any stress and they'll never be the wiser.

1) If you travel and you want to sleep/rest/shower at campground sites, then dont come until after like 11 pm. This way the staff will say "pay tomorrow". But then leave the next day before 7 am before staff wakes up and you wont have to pay (doesnt always work but usually does) 2) If you drive someone else's car, you never actually need to have auto insurance if you get stopped. Nor does the owner of the car need to have it. Simply tell the officer "yes I have auto insurance but its at home". The officer will never charge you for driving without insurance if you drive someone else's car because there is a good chance that the owner does have insurance. Cops dont treat insurance the same way as registration. You just have to lie a bit 3) Wal mart has pretty great return policy. You can get like 10 tents, a few Go-Pro's, some travel equipment, and then return it all after you're done with your vacation. 4) We all know that ink cartridges are expensive AF. However, some printers come with ink. What you can do is buy a printer, use up all the ink, and then return the printer for another one 5) When applying to college or financial aid, you can say you're black/hispanic or some other privileged minority. Depending on college, being transgendered also helps. This significantly increases your chances. If caught in the lie, simply say that "i identify as X"

However, I did luck out once on a flight from Chicago to Swizerland when there was some booking screw up in coach so I got to sit in business class as a result. Probably will never happen again (I was also flying with family so that may have helped a little, versus bumping me to another flight).

I bought a pair of headphones at Best Buy for $200, but they have an open box policy where if something is returned already opened, they sell it for less but the customer who returned it still gets their full refund. So I bought the headphones for $200, took them out to the parking lot, opened the box, went back in and returned them. Then a few days later I went back and bought the same headphones for $180 😂😂

Cost to drive back and forth probably around ten dollars plus time wasted driving to and from store while being in store around 1.5-2hrs. Even if you spent that time working for minimum wage it would have been more profitable and you could have been using that transportation cost for a job which I'm going to assume you don't have or are just to dumb to realize it. Either way time spent explaining to someone they are dumb priceless.

I figured out on how to get a free lifetime warranty on something you purchased years ago that broke you go to the store repurchase the same product and you return the old broken one in the new box with the new seral number. Just clean the old one a little bit and get a refund. You got a new replacement and your money back.

I found 2 racks of toys by the employee entrance to the back room at our local K-Mart. They weren't marked. A month later I went in for my scripts and they were still there. I found an employee who came over and started to mark these toys down to $1-$3 and loaded up my cart. When I got to the register, there was an additional 40% off. The checkout girl was freaking out that I paid less than $25 for a cartload of toys and she was telling all the other cashiers about it. When I went back the next day, they were all gone. Some of these toys sell up to $60. No wonder the store closed about 6 months later.

The 10th one isn't even a loophole dude. Why is this even on this video? That's how contracts work... Like if you get a contract, and you don't like it, you have able to change the contract, sign it, return it to the person, and then have them sign it. And if they don't read it... like many people don't.... Well.... that's on them. Likewise, if you don't read a contract, it's on you. That's just how contracts work dude. If you don't like the terms of the contract, you're free to change them before signing it. It's called negotiating the terms of a contract.

Facebook's attys said "your french citizens AGREED to our contract terms, so they cannot sue us in French courts!" and the French judge said "eat shit" and Facebook SETTLED the lawsuit. @y2ksw1
@y2ksw1 7 жыл бұрын
A contract is always a reciprocal agreement and not a one-way proposal. Thus, making changes is always legit and legal, specifically when you notified the changes. If you get the contract back, signed with your changes, the contract is valid, because no contract can put itself above law. Currently, I know of no country in the world, where contracts cannot be changed by one or both sides. In addition, most contracts have the clause "unless specified individually" (or similar), which allows changes to be made, no matter what it says later. It is also very common that who proposes the contract does not know what is written in detail, simply because they are too long. If you get a contract 60+ pages of fine print, it means they want to trick you out. You are allowed to replace the contract also entirely, but then eventually they will not sign it.
@personincognito3989
@personincognito3989 7 жыл бұрын
y2ksw1 thanks. pardon my ignorance but to you retype it the way you. want it and print it then send it back to them? or do you write in an addendum? could I do this to change the interest charge on a credit card? I don't recall any company signing a contract after I sign it. maybe I just never noticed. Or they do it after you give it to them. I guess I need step by step instructions. Do you know if you can do this in Canada?
@y2ksw1
@y2ksw1 7 жыл бұрын
I make changes and notify about the changes I made. Then it's up to them to review and/or sign. Usually they just sign. And, they sign after I have signed. No serious company will sign before I have signed. If they do, request an unsigned contract. Sometimes I do an addendum, if contracts do not satisfy specific requests. Since I explicitly state that the omission signing the addendum voids the whole, the whole contract is invalid if they sign only part of it. I currently possess such a contract right now, which essentially allows me to do what I want and win all lawsuits if there will be any. If they wanted not to sign, they should not sign, but they did. Sometimes, partially signed contracts can be significant game changers. I do not change contracts to trick somebody, but to not get tricked. Most contractors will know the difference only when they push me to the limits. And, with the contract at hand, they do not even try a lawsuit.
@y2ksw1

subtitle contribution Give Him Credit for That One - If you've ever signed up for a credit card, only to find out your variable interest rate went up or the “no interest for six months” deal didn't apply, you probably understand the frustration that led Dmitry Argarkov to pull a fast one on a company called Tinkoff Credit with this bank loophole. Keep Getting Those Student Discounts - After paying for college for four years, which for some might include paying back student loans for forty years, you probably need all the help you can get. A First Class Solution - The airport is a great place to game the system. For example, this enterprising boy-band member actually managed to avoid a bag fee by wearing every item of clothing that had been in his bag. Price Glitches - Don't fly off just yet-there's another loophole to game the airlines, and other businesses that suffer price glitches. Websites like Secret Flying and Airfarewatchdog monitor airlines for price errors, which can result from typos-like a $15,000 fare going down to $1,500 because someone forgot a zero. Open a Strip Club in Idaho - In Idaho, strip clubs are illegal due to puritanical public nudity laws, but having nude people on display for “art purposes” is not. Hacking Vending Machines and Slot Machines - So many people have cheated vending machines by putting their dollar in with tape on one end, s o they could pull it back out, that many of the newer machines have video surveillance or other security systems to avoid this sort of thing. Buying Money to Make Money - They say you have to spend money to make money. But for one man, all he had to do was buy money to make money. After the $1 coins came out, the U.S. Government was selling them for a dollar a piece with free shipping. Get a $330,000 house for $16 - Mortgages are a hassle-especially the part where you have to keep paying them every month. Fortunately, many states, including Texas, have an adverse possession law. Free Golf Cart - Tax credits for electric cars are nice, but they're usually not big enough for you to essentially get a free car using this tax loophole. But you can get a free golf cart, providing you make it “street legal” by adding turn signals, mirrors, and seat belts. $50 of Free Coffee at Starbuck's - A few years ago, coffee enthusiasts were impressed by a viral video produced by Beau Chevassus. The coffee enthusiast wanted to see if he could order the most expensive drink ever, and managed to get a $47.30 espresso by basically adding an extra shot of, well, everything.

I bought a digital camera from BestBuy along with extended warranty, which in part, states that if you bring the item in for repair/replacement, if they don't give it back to you within 30 days, they will give you an equivalent or same product new, for free. My camera had a dead pixel within the extended warranty time frame (2-3yrs) and I also removed the serial number sticker - this delayed their process to over 30 days so I got a brand new upgraded model (they no longer sold the one I bought/returned) and then they gave me back my dead pixel camera that still worked because they can't verify the serial # nor do anything with it.

i just inquired about the free golf cart. I thought "it's too good to be true." and indeed it isn't true. In California, in order to be street legal you need a VIN number for the cart for it to become a car to qualify as a car. Secondly, golf carts that are converted to be street legal (the VIN number process itself is complicated and costly), they are still limited to streets limited to 35 mph. Most streets here in LA are 40mph, so they couldn't go anywhere legally. Lastly, the speed limit is a moot point since UPGRADED golf carts max out at 25mph on flat roads. up a hill you lose torque for the higher speeds, so you wouldn't be able to go uphill!
