Subtle note, I like how you wait for everyone's dialogues to play out - including their ambient lines. Most people run up so quickly to speak to an NPC, you don't hear what they'll say to you upon seeing you when you walk up.

Dark Brotherhood questline is definitely one of the most enjoyable ones in the game. Also funny, for a group that is essentially based on killing and death, they sure seem like a very positive bunch of people.

My favorite part is when Vicente just casually drops the fact that "you already know the way" inside the imperial prison. You are so used to having all the NPCs from questlines regard you as completely separate from whatever else is going on at the moment. Having it change there was surprising.

All the family members, even the dickish Khajiit, -Were so beloved. I guess the Purification is a reminder that we shouldn't get too attached to our brothers and sisters, for Sithis knows no bounds. I also like to believe that the main character of Oblivion was the second surviving member of the Dark Brotherhood, and the Dragonborn takes back over during the events of Skyrim. I'm curious to see where the Brotherhood will end up in the next main entry game. Hell, I'd love there to be a spinoff of the Dark Brotherhood's history in the style of Elder Scrolls Blades, the faction truly has a fascinating backstory that can be explored much further.

I love that you basically destroy the Dark Brotherhood yourself. There’s knowone left in the end but you and and one main character. The rest are followers. Then you can move on with the rest of oblivion knowing the Dark Brotherhood is dead. Same in Skyrim.

32:58 I always had no problem joining the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim, but when I played Oblivion and joined the DB and overheard that conversation, I was like, "Bro, that's pretty fucked up. Even the sanctuary in Skyrim never talked about killing kids. Wtf?!" (Idk, I just got a personal rule against killing kids in video games. And before anyone wants to nerd-rage at me and go, "But Night Mother kill her own kids for Sithis!" know that idgaf about the morality of origin lore in works of fiction.)

My first Oblivion play through I accidentally killed a npc and I was resting at a random bed on a random stormy night…..the shock of a hooded man standing in front of me really shook my 13 year old mind! I just play this in the background when I want to sleep at night. I can’t actually watch it, because watching you try to pick locks is probably the most frustrating thing to witness. You’re doing a long play, not a speed run. Least you could do is at least take your time as a “professional, stealthy assassin” and not go full autism wasting all those lock picks. It’s like trying to watch a kid with Downs Syndrome attempt rocket science 😂
