Clash Of The Champions XXXII (January 23 1996)
Eric Bischoff interviews 4 Horseman member Brian Pillman at Clash Of The Champions XXXII. Pillman lived his "Loose Cannon" gimmick in and out of the ring, and had many of his co workers and fans wondering if he had gone crazy.

@Old-School-Wrestling-Clips
@Old-School-Wrestling-Clips 3 жыл бұрын
No it wasn't that. Pillman and Sullivan had big plans for Pillman and wanted him to break kayfabe to hype up the internet marks. The plan was for Pillman to stir up trouble in WCW, then go to ECW and do the same thing. Then he was supposed to return to WCW and get a push. Instead while in ECW, WWF poached Pillman and he went there instead breaking his promise to Bischoff.
@jackcarraway4707
@jackcarraway4707 3 жыл бұрын
@@Old-School-Wrestling-Clips Letting him go was another brutal mistake from WCW. The man was bringing edginess to mainstream wrestling way before Austin's 3:16 speech and was a pretty terrifying psycho heel. Had he stayed in WCW, I'd have a storyline where he is so out of control that the Horsemen kick him out. You can even have him "injure" AA as a means of writing off AA when he retired. You'd then have Benoit vs. Pillman matches...yeah what a missed opportunity.
@lambdalambdalambdaa
@lambdalambdalambdaa 3 жыл бұрын
@@jackcarraway4707 I think WCW would've dropped the ball with him anyway. Think about it. Do you seriously think he'd be able to overcome the NWO? NWO overshadowed everything and Pillman would've just been overlooked like Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Raven, etc.
@Monchi2006

@@Old-School-Wrestling-Clips Pillman wanted to raise his value with Vince so that Bischoff could give him a bigger contract but the accident pretty much put a kabosh on that cause the WCW contract while bigger money had a 3 month reconsideration clause which was obviously put in place due to the accident. Chances are that if there was no accident he would have stayed in WCW.

Bruh i would've just paid him more lol you don't get guys like this very often no one else has that voice or that gimmick giving him a release is the dumbest thing ever even if the agreement was he'd come back at some point which by all accounts was his actual plan but the risk of letting him go to WWF far outweighed any positives. No one has this kind of Charisma nowadays it's so sad, a guy who was considered in the 90s to be only midcard level nowadays is better than all world champions across all promotions put together lol

I grew up in the 90s, but I still don't understand the shirt with the peekaboo nipple shot. Not the most masculine look I've ever seen. It makes him look silly, rather than crazy or intimidating. Still probably the best gimmick ever in wrestling.
