Hi I love it. An ocean sea creature. So awesome.. I just subscribed my fellow bostonian!! I got question pls & thanku. Is the artist loft flow acrylic a good paint to use as a base coat? What is the main diff between tilting & stretching? I've been doing this for a few months & watching a lot of you diff amazing artists, I've learned so much. Now I realized I want to know details. If that makes sense lol. Thanku for sharing & your time..
@SarahMackArt5 жыл бұрын
Hey 👋🏻 so Artist Loft white is great for a base. Typically I mix it with Floetrol. Tilting means of the canvas. Different directions to the sides , corners and or back to center. Stretching is the process of stretching your paint out. When tilting your paint moves. When you bring it back to center you notice your paint area has grown but also the design in the paint is larger.

Thank you for subscribing 😊

Color shift is a paint by Folkart. It changes color depending on which angel you look at it 😊

You could call your technique "The Mackie" Im from Australia. We put ie or o on the end of everything
@sallydehler79105 жыл бұрын
I have tried this a couple times now but keep getting large areas of bare canvas. Advice?
@SarahMackArt5 жыл бұрын
I get them too. Try tilting until the paint rolls over it again. That’s what I do and if that doesn’t work a drizzle a little paint in the area and tilt again till it flows together
@karenhudgin86315 жыл бұрын
I love your paintings but you use various brands of paint how do you know the ratio of paint to Floetrol?
@SarahMackArt5 жыл бұрын
I’ve been painting for over a year and a half I do things mainly of feel at this point but try to give a general idea. With bottled metallics always a 1:1 ratio with Floetrol. With tube paints like Liquitex Basics 2:1 (Floetrol:paint) hard bodied depends on brand and pigmentations I start at 3:1 ration (floetrol:paint) and add from there. Fluid paints are harder to gauge but typically base it off the color I want

That is super gorgeous!!! so classy! i absolutely love it! I love the MACK ATTACK but its maybe a bit aggressive for such a beautiful technique. My dirty brain went straight to the "S Bend" cause the way you swiped it in this video is kinda shaped like an S. (S for Sarah obviously). You have to name it after yourself (atleast a bit) so people know who to credit when they use it. No shame in that Sarah.
@margueritejewett73555 жыл бұрын
Good Morning Sarah , I am watching this video now n I heard the comments about what people call that action you do in your paintings . Lol. I as well have to admit I call them Sarahs Master Ribbons. Which I do as well too but I just started calling it that when I started watching your work. Hope you like that name but even though many people do them that way I associate it with your work. I hope you choose to call it that because you are great at what you do n humble as well. So I think you should take some well deserved credit and call them Sarahs Master Ribbons. If you do decide to n I truly hope you do please say a shoutout to me and announce it. I think its perfect for you . You deserve recognition . Well give it some thought , and. I hope you like what I named it . I still say it to this day . And I think its perfect name for what you do in the paintings . What do you think of the name ???.
