Hi Eric, it's fun to watch you paint something from Taiwan and hear a bit about your childhood. I like your idea of adding a man and sleeping dog to the painting. Makes a big difference.

Bravo Eric! You have outdone yourself in this inspiring painting. You have developed your own individual style! I’m so impressed by your progress and the fact you are true watercolor artist now. You are unique in your interpretation and painting style. I know it’s sometimes difficult to find yourself when surrounded by other artists who you admire and try to emulate but, with this painting something is quite different from all the others. It may something to do with the subject, perhaps a memory from the past that was awakened. Whatever the reason or subject your confidence and ease of painting is truly you! I feel so honored watching the transformation over the course of time on this KZbin channel. I am much older than you, having three three adult sons and consequently five grandchildren, the oldest one’s will be turning 18 this year. I too started painting in oils when I was 9 years old. It wasn’t until our sons were toddlers I was forced into to watercolor, due to fumes and the chemicals associated with oils. I was quite successfully for a self taught artist and now a stay at home mom. Congratulations Eric! I feel this Spring will mark my return to my watercolor painting after a long absence. May God Bless you and your family with continued health and success.

I love your tutorials. Today I ordered 2 brushes from Jackson's, Escoda Ultimo. They are on sale though the sale ends today. I'm starting to paint on larger paper now so decided it was time for larger brushes. The sale was very timely. Thanks for the recommendation.

Beautiful! It would help me, a nondrawer, very much if I could see your sketch. Even more helpful would be a download of the sketch. Merely watching a great talent like you demonstrating a painting isn't really useful if I don't have a starting place. Thank you for sharing! The scene reminds me of Port Isaac in Cornwall, a charming village.

I didn't know anything about phone camera angles and correcting them. Not sure how to do that. I'm working on drawing skills too. Thanks for the video.
