No arguing, just present talking to his animals, don't get me wrong I love watching all the guys play, but neebs keeps his animals alive, checks his animals health and levels them up. With the ability to boost xp gain, Im sure he has it cranked to max to get craftables as soon as possible. Not hard to get high level but not have the resources to craft anything you have unlocked.

They talked about it a few times during their podcasts streams and I think the hangup is that Ark is a buggy/crashing pile of shyte right now.

Been playing it since release and that hasn't been the case since the first week or so. I think the main hangup is that they don't all have a PC that can run the game at decent settings which would make the footage inconsistent. I believe most of the guys are running on 20 or 30 series GPUs which don't have enough VRAM.​@harry_burnsworth

Neebs, yes cryopods exist in ascended. You can only use them near a cryofridge though which is annoying. Both unlock at level 50

I bought ASE went it first released and played it once. Neebs and the gang, we miss ya Thick, got me actually excited to play Ark a few years back. Now I am a life long fan with 7567 hours into evolved, and just cracked 400 hours in ascended. I eagerly await a full blown Ascended series from you guys once more maps release and they fix frame gen, dlss, and foliage interactions causing constant predictable crashes. Nothing like dropping a thousand bucks for a gpu to play one game, and turns out even if I splurged for the 4090, I still couldn’t play Ascended to my standard. And I’m only trying to run it at 1440 on one of my 3 Odysseys. It’s impossible for me to run all three in surround. Ark at epic 7680x1440 is not possible on current hardware.😢

The Island at 16:00 mins with the Blue drop is Herbivore island it has no threats other than the ones you make. Unless you add MODs, like the NPC MOD which most including myself would highly recommend and end up with a hostile tribe on the island. Also it has Metal rocks.

Heya Neebs, a Metal Pick is Required to get the metal from the Metal Nodes. A Stone Pick mostly gets Stone and Flint. But if you need some quick Metal, and only have the Stone Pickaxe, the Round Smooth Rocks near any Waters Edge yield a decent amount of Metal.

I like to get a wolf as early as possible, since they have the ability to sniff out dossiers to give you a good EXP boost for you and all nearby animals. It's a good way to lvl you and your tames quickly. Just ride your wolf with a pack following and go hunting for dossiers.

A small tip Neebs, just take EVERYTHING fro ma drop, and leave NOTHING behind! Also, put more points into weight! Your sarco will need that weight capacity! And a name for your bird... Larry Byrd. Like the Basketball player who invented the Slam Dunk who played for the Boston Celtics.

NEEBS, I don’t think anyone would object, if you bumped up the loot drop values a bit, so that you can get some better stuff. That island with all the carnos is known as Carno or Death Island. I believe the big Rex you saw there was actually an alpha Rex, which are bigger. It’s much harder to see the alpha glow in ASA, then it was in ASE. Keep up the great work
