Its mentioned alot here, but looking back after later videos, the med-x being called morphine, as it was planned to be in fallout 3 really was foreshadowing that this is not a normal version of new vegas even without the out of bounds stuff, plus the MREs, which are a lonesome road item, in what is supposedly the base games out of bounds is also interesting, since its been talked about alot by the devs that they couldn't really change the base game much with the dlc releases Edit: oh and the card under the unnamed serria madre chip is 4 of cups, which means its a tarrot card not a playing card, very odd

Just a note, some of the black box audio is from the recordings of the 1989 Gulf Of Sidra Incident, namely the "shoot him!" "I cant, i dont have a fucking tone" part with the following Sidewinder sound. edit: tried to transcribe it to the best of my abilities in the replies. It is 100% the 1989 recording, just shuffled around and pitched down.

"(???) Port side high, I'm coming down hard." "Roger that. (???) going north, let's go down low, on the deck. Unload, 500 knots. Let's get out of here." (oddly enough, the above happen _after_ the MiGs were shot down irl. the below happened during the actual dogfight) (???) (can't make out what they're saying between 3:33 and 3:48) vaguely sounds like they mention Fox One (SARH missile) afterwards, can't really confirm 3:58 "Shoot him!" "I don't got a tone (lock-on indication)" "(???) the second one" "Shoot!" "Can't, I don't have a fucking too-" "Select-" "tally two, tally two" (AIM-9 Sidewinder lock-on tone and fire tone) "Fox-" then silence and ending.

⁠​⁠​⁠@@thehonorablereverendaddiso1943In this case since it’s all played in a reverse from the original audio with diff clips of other audio, we potentially have US Air Force in Fallout Universe either running from China due to low ammo or The Chinese Air Force Fighter outclassing them in a dogfight and their tactics aren’t working. This is why we hear them sounding like they are fleeing or trying to flee back to base maybe Nellis. Either way they didn’t say good k, the connection abruptly ended. It could either mean the bombs fell, the dogfight ended with the US Air Force being eliminated due to the The Chinese Air Force potentially having a jammer that prevents lock on which is why Obsidian picked the “I can’t get a tone” part. And these two pilots were on a routine patrol. It would make sense seeing how the Red fought in “Operation Anchorage”. I’m sure C.A. and J.S. couldn’t finish this quest due to time constraints or it was a secret quest you would stumble upon if they built area there. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the Gov and Vault Tec in Fallout universe were secretly spies and allowed for China to get advanced hardware that was superior to US Military in some areas, it’s the military that has to deal with most of the flak, in the end. Not the NCR Politicians and Gov/US Politicians and Gov.

The card was a Tarot card, 4 of cups. The 4 cups, when played upright, can mean boredom, depression, missed opportunities, apathy, and frustration. Played reversed, it can mean interest, positivity, opportunities to gain, and motivation. I don't really see how much of this may play into the general themes as of June 26th. Maybe something to do with frustration at the loss of Van Buren? Boredom of the game (or out of bounds wasteland)? Ideas of missed opportunities? Maybe an intrigue of what lies deeper in? The possibilities within?

Interesting notes as well on more of the vid: At 2:52 the image appears to be an in cockpit image of a jet's targeting systems, aside from that I don't know what's actually on the image itself, or what it's of. Also, the "Signalling" Pistol is very similar, if not identical, to the Flare gun of Lonesome Road, including the rather ominous effect "Frightens Abominations"

@@TheRKLOPP from what i know the image might be related to the gulf of sidra incident in 1989, along with the pilot chatter in the audio tape and everything it gives of the military vibe that lonesome road has, and subsenquently the same themes which inspire this series for the flare gun, there are a bunch of weird shit being renamed and slightly altered like the water bottle just being "Water" instead of being Dirty Water or Purified Water, the Rader Blastmaster helmet that B0sch is using (I don't think it's actually possible to get it in New Vegas) being renamed to Emergency Mask. The Flare Gun's effect description is the same from the base game but in this context it makes sense why it would be unnerving

Interesting items. Ones that stand out to me are the morphine, and the surgical mask and finger. Originally med-x was going to be called morphine iirc, but the name got changed for rating/censorship reasons, as that was too real. So it's interesting in that "morphine" doesn't exactly exist in the Fallout universe... The mask and finger are interesting in that they seem to imply, well, someone's finger being removed in a way that was at least attempting to be safer from a medical standpoint.

If anyone knows what a black box is, it’s used to record what happens in planes and is built to withstand heavy damage. (Pray to god you never find one by itself irl) In this case, it’s in someone’s home or a replica of it. This very well could mean that whoever lived here survived a plane crash (flare gun and photos help with this theory), and they later might’ve taken their own lives due to survivors guilt because of the unobtainable shotgun in the bathtub.

Things to nothe mentioning the morphine being the original name of the med X drug is the armor he got, rhe emergency mask(? And surgical mask being mostly referring to a treatment after maybe a plane crash? Could explain the black box items as well as the photos. Also, when he tried picking up the cube it gave a message that is only seen in doc Mitchel house while looking and oicking the brahmin skull. Its interesting but i don't know if it has any correlation.

It's weird, the Black Box recording ends at 1:13, despite it being claimed there's additional time on it. I don't know if it was ended prematurely by the player or if it's just cut off for some reason.

You can only prematurely end the audio tapes in New Vegas by clicking on the name of the tape again OR selecting another audio to play in it's place. Neither of which b0sch did, so maybe there's something the game doesn't want him to hear? This version of New Vegas is prone to intervening in order to hide stuff like when it does in the later videos, so I figure this was the game's way of of warning the player before they became violent with it.

The radio station sounds a lot like it’s emitting a mixture of military chatter, pre-war advertisements, and obviously static. Maybe it’s been stuck on loop since the bombs fell and over time it’s signal has weakened to the point where it can’t even penetrate the thin walls of a shack. And as for the black box recording, I think it’s either from a plane that went down as the bombs were falling since I hear “We’re going down hard” in the recording, or a bomber since the one of the photos looks similar to a photo taken by recon planes for bombing targets.
