Something I haven't seen mentioned anywhere: the Klaida (the first enemy encountered in the game) aren't hostile to Samus unless she shoots at them. But once they get infected with the X Parasite, they attack Samus on sight!

Another one I haven't seen mentioned is after you manipulate the water parts of Artaria, when you return to the very beginning (where you got yeeted by Raven Beak), you can see in the background that it's been flooded. And all of the areas begin with the first 9 letters of the alphabet (A for Artaria, B for Burenia, C for Cataris, D for Dairon, E for Elun, F for Ferenia, G for Ghavoran, H for Hanubia, and I for Itorash).

Not only do the areas refer to the first 9 letters in order, the areas are actually arranged so that the lowest point on the world map for each area is alphabetical from bottom to top...idk if I'm explaining that quite right, if you order them from lowest points in each area they're in alphabetical order, Artaria has the lowest lowest point, then Burenia has the next lowest lowest point, then Cataris, etc

When I recently played Samus Returns and Dread, I realized that Metroidvania games and Metroid games truly are two different things. The quality and details are just absurdly good. It's too bad the series isn't more popular.

The starships being gone is kind of terrifying. Everything, presumably, that isn't Samus at this point is an X and/or dead. So if something did escape through those ships, they are likely X. It only takes one population of X to completely overtake a planet, imagine what several on ships could do to colonize other planets.

@@theakiwar9118 The only issue is that look at what happened with even the Chozo. It was barely contained and probably only contained via Ravenbeak being so ruthless. BSL was a complete disaster within the time it took to send her infected parts back and then it went downhill from there every time she opened a new area. The entire planet is just...gone and cannot be saved in any way shape or form. More so the destruction it would present to her as now they have infected a human but at least advanced species to be a force of reckoning and everything they could use against her. Time will tell if they wish that route to be the new story but I hope for the sake of everything its not. Was already hard enough to watch Quiet Robe be murdered and watch as he was reanimated.

If i was to guess theres a chozo in the memories that is standing on top of that very building where the ships take off from. Wearing something like a cloak. But we never fought any chozo with that look.

The federation ship in the hologram is also seen docked in the clouds in the background in Hanubia shipyard after returning from getting the Power Bombs and just before fighting the Gold Chozo Soldier

@@44bigfreeze That’s the Ship that transported the EMMI. It even has the Federations logo on it if you look closely. This ship is probably automated and is controlled by an AI. It was made probably as an transmitter. Probably had limited fuel aswell in order not to be able to leave ZDR. The X didnt hesitate to use the Chozo ships, but the Federation ship remains on ZDR during the explosion. Hinting that they weren’t able to use it

7:26 If this is ZDR's solar system (spheres being planets), then it has around 9-10 planets, the unknown solar system in a save room on Prime 3 has 9-10 planets furthering the evidence that ZDR was already foreshadowed since Prime 3 based on one theory of mine.

The shines spark diagonally down got me lol. I remember being excited when i got a powerup like that. It seems like they always add new features to the speed booster. On fusion, they added the ability to keep speeding after hitting a ramp. On zero mission they added shine sparking while in morph ball, and on dread they added this lol

That camera thing during the shinespark also happens in an upwards passage in Dairon, one where you break through several blocks and stop on a magnetic ceiling

For the 3rd detail, I would like to add that the golden Chozo soldier's shield (right before Raven Beak) can't be broken by missiles. It can only be countered, then destroyed with a grapple beam. Dunno if a shinespark works against it though.

Quite possible. Perhaps he was saving them for the Samus clone army he had plans for, but upon his defeat there really was no need to keep them. Perhaps they were connected to Itorash, like if the bigger ship went down so would the smaller ones We won't know until next game comes, or just more info Or then it's to allow the game to run better. Without ship models on the background, the added on explosions don't make the game chug

He probably had them to require DNA test to launch. Otherwise they would have probably gotten to his sky base long before Samus got there. My guess is he probably had them self-destruct when things went south.

There is one more little detail I found, if there is a light source above a platform which has breakable blocks, then if u break the blocks, the light starts reaching the ground. The light touches the ground only from the areas where u broke the blocks.

In regards to the EMMI: not only do they essentially have talons like a bird, and not only do they basically have beaks like a bird (when their probe is out), but they also practically chirp like a bird while they roam around.

Sadly, you can`t get very far with it, since it overrides the Omega Beam, so you can`t defeat the E.M.M.I. and when you blast Corpius the game is stuck, because the Metroid Suit is not Aeion compatible.^^ And you can die through freezing even in the Metroid Suit.

The insta death contact doesn’t matter as just going through shooting works just fine in a run, plus assuming that the ships left and weren’t just completely annihilated by itorash crashing like what happened to all of hanubia is a bit of a silly thing

I have 2 more details. The first one is in Artaria. In the first part of the game, in the first room where Samus encountered Raven Beak, you can see that the background is just an abyss. But when you come back later is full of water. This is because you activated a water machine above that room in the EMMI zone, and you can see the waterfalls in the room between the EMMI and the 1st one. The second detail is that in Ferenia, in a shinespark puzzle room located in the left part, under the entrance of the area (from Ghavoran), you can see in the background a dome. Is the other side of Elun, and you can see where is located in Ferenia. What a great game.

I'm not sure why but the Chozo warriors with the spears have two different stab attack animations in their black goo phase. If they stab near the middle of the stage, they'll touch the spear along the ground before pulling it back. If they stab into the wall, they just pull it back without touching the ground.

I sometimes have a real hard time with the gravity jump so going up that one area during the countdown was alot closer to 0 than I wanted it to be. Makes me want to use shinespark more often.

I think they are different, but use the same tech. E.g core in the chest area. Or maybe torizos were made for artifact thiefs, while the robo chozo soldiers are made to replace raven beaks dead army

The Torizo must be at least organic creations since we saw the dried husk of one in Super Metroid. Since we see the chozo robots being built in the background and the release of the X doesn’t affect them then those probably are completely metallic.

Otherwise the plasma beam statue would have been infected, like the morph ball one in SRX and nettori where in Fusion. I really think that the Mawkin simply study lifeforms to create either bioweapons and or new abilities. The Thoha on the other hand are able to completely create new lifeforms. I mean Torizo, Metroids and Z-57 were creations of Thoha. Zebes was a Thoha colony afterall, as it exclusively features Thoha writing like SR388

The starship missing is such a key detail. Metroid 2D follows a different path from Metroid Prime. Prime focus on a branch of storyline after Metroid 1 but probably before Metroid 2 or Super Metroid. Which makes sense because Samus decides to exterminate the metroids after seeing how dangerous they can be. But the 2D metroid can't exist if there's no threat, the X and the Metroids exists for a reason, without the metroids, the X can go rampant. Essentially, the 2D franchise can keep going with Samus as the sole being capable to oppose the X. I don't doubt we'll see a future where the X will exterminate the most terrifying host of all; Humans, with their fucking galactic federation things, and Samus will have to literally kill them. IT also makes the ending makes complete sense: Why the X, in the form of Quiet Robe would sacrifice itself to make Samus go back from Metroid form? Essentially he saved her life. However, if you think a bit: What if he saw her as the Metroid form, and thought that if she could escape the planet, she would eliminate the rest of the species that were able to escape? The X knowledge is limited to the form they take, so they don't know at the time that Samus cannot operate the ship. Maybe that's it. Or maybe, Quiet Robe in X form somehow can make his own thoughts and desires to influence the X, to a point it becomes self aware and get individuality instead of a hive-mind like they have in Fusion. Anyways, the ship missing literally means we;ll have more Metroid 2D with the X, and maybe ven some initiatives to re-clone Metroids to make sure they can counter attack an army of X.

Don't know if it is scripted for the end or is an own ability from the Metroid Suit to suck X parasites in touch, but there's some hacked gameplays where they use the Metroid Suit early with the beam and all, and it has again damage from cold temperatures and normal creatures (before X re-invasion) would still hurt her

I have one. E.M.M.I.s can detect when a magnetic platform has moved. If you hide with Phantom Cloak on a magnetic platform that remains stationary after carrying you a certain distance, E.M.M.I.s will notice the platform and catch you.
