Tired of the constant negative comments, especially from people like Rahul Gandhi, about Veer Savarkar Here was a man whose contributions to India’s freedom struggle are unparalleled: • He formed India’s first underground revolutionary network, Abhinav Bharat. • He endured 14 years of brutal imprisonment in the torturous confines of the Cellular Jail on an isolated island. • He organized the first bonfire of British goods in protest. • While in India House, London, he wrote the seminal book 1857: India’s First War of Independence, which was smuggled into India and inspired countless revolutionaries. • Along with Madam Cama, he designed India’s first national flag, which she proudly hoisted in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1914. • He smuggled guns and bomb-making manuals into India. • His elder brother was also imprisoned in the Cellular Jail (Kalapani). Savarkar himself was arrested on flimsy charges and, to avoid a trial in India, was sent to the Andamans. In a daring escape, he leapt off a ship near the shores of France but was recaptured on French soil by British police, sparking international outrage. He was subjected to solitary confinement and unimaginable torture for extended periods. While in the Cellular Jail, Savarkar wrote patriotic poems on the walls and, as a lawyer, drafted petitions advocating for the rights of prisoners and their release. His books were banned, and his academic degrees were revoked. His family lived in poverty, forced to sell household items for survival, until a meager pension was finally granted. Savarkar also worked tirelessly for social reform. In Ratnagiri, he led efforts to integrate scheduled and backward classes into mainstream society, promoting intercaste dining and temple entry for all, including at the Patitpavan Mandir. His efforts were lauded by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He always advocated for an undivided, united India (Akhand Bharat) and opposed forces that sought its partition. Wanted a constitution where everyone was equal irrespective of religion or caste Loyalty to the soil of India was the only condition Until his death, he remained mistrusted by the British, who kept him under constant surveillance for inspiring an entire generation of freedom fighters, both in India and abroad. Even in independent India, Savarkar faced persecution. His younger brother was murdered, and he himself was placed under surveillance by the Nehru government, which also arrested him for six months, detaining him in Belgaum’s Hindalga Jail ahead of a visit by Pakistan’s Prime Minister. They tried to implicate him in the Conspiracy to kill Mahatma Gandhi until Supreme Court finally cleared him of any involvement in Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination noting this was not due to lack of evidence but due to lack of any connection whatsoever. Ultimately it was Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who finally honored Savarkar with a postage stamp and saluted this remarkable son of India.🇮🇳 ❤🙏

with how much ease raga make fun of savarkar ji a man who raised his voices against british, when raga does bharat jodo he people consider that what a hardwork he had done where as savarkar ji who faced kala pani. we can't even imagine the hardship he went through for freedom of our nation and nowadays people make his fun because he did'nt align with their ideology, comeon people respect the people whose contributions made us free
