For all those interested I bought my Loq 16 a month ago and I am blown away by its performance…. It’s an amazing gaming beast. I absolutely recommend it. I got the Loq 16 with the 4060 16gb ram, I went with AMD cpu. I also got an external 1440p monitor because the 1080p screen is too low for it. I forgot to mention, I paid 1050 for it. Tax free plus my wife is a teacher so that was 10 percent off.

Got my LOQ 16 AMD with RTX 4050. Not the best of the line, not the worst. So far, this thing is a beast. I am very happy with it especially after how it took upgrades without issues. I replaced the 8GB of RAM with 32GB of Crucial DDR5 5600 Mhz SODIMMs and I added a 2TB Kingston FURY M.2 nvme. Easy to open, work on and play on. It has been a treat, buttery smooth even with my paltry 144 Hz refresh. Oh, it is also the Ryzen 5 7640HS.

I just saw this review, after I already bought my LOQ I am extremely impressed with the build quality. This is the best built laptop I've ever owned. easy to get into to upgrade ram or SSD. I just dropped in 64 GB G.Skill ddr5-5600 32x2. Lenovo says its only capable of 16 GB...that's a lie. I used F5-5600S4040A32GX2-RS. I also went with the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS with 4060

Legion if you can afford it, loq otherwise. Tuf has heating issues, higher screen response time and some models have wifi card issues.

I bought the loq 15 7840HS 16gb 5600 1tb ( samsung m.2 ) rtx 4060 for 1000 euro s super happy with it has a second m.2 slot which I will use and the ram is upgradable so yeah 32gb inc soon ;)

I bought a 7640hs 4060 version and i kind of regret it. The cooling and build quality is solid, bu the "fast 144hz ips panel" has VA tier reaction times. Its ghosting and its poor color gamut coverage really are the biggest downside of it. I tuned the screen so that its not as horrendous (playing with contrasts, adding more blue and less red). It looks better but still shows a lack of coverage especially in the red and yellows (thats why i added more blue and less red)

I have a concern regarding upgrading SSD, basically how much we can upgrade 2tb or 1.5tb?, 1 of the SSD has a mounted screw from motherboard & can't be removed, other slot only offers 1tb of space.

I live in Canada and I upgraded mine last month with 32gb of DDR5 5600 no problems even if Lenovo says maximum is 16gb. If you plan upgrading I suggest you buy a kit of 2 stick instead of just adding 1 stick 🙂.
