This is Mick Hanly's interpretation of a much loved traditional ballad" Lord Franklin". Mick is joined here by his friend and former colleague from the Bothy Band Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill. Mick's recording of Franklin is timely as the Canadian government announced this month that one of Franklin's ships had been finally located. The ill fated voyage left England in 1845 and Franklin and his crew of 128 men were all lost. In 1848, pressed by Lady Franklin. the British government sent a search for the ships and crew.
