I knew I'd have to protect myself and I would eventually end up dead from retaliation or caught by the police for murder. By the grace of God, my mom moved us out of there not too long after that. This was in the late 80's that this happened. And I was always mad confused when gangsta rap hit the air waves and people thought that shit was cool. Like, to be from that environment or to live like that was something to look up to and seen as "cool". I don't understand why we as a people live like that. It's really not fair. Not caring about your life and shooting people don't make you no man or tough. My 5 year old nephew can pull a trigger. Being like that only drags everything around you down. Just cause you don't give a fuck about being free, you gotta fuck up everyone elses lives. I don't wanna be locked up with a bunch of dudes and eating nasty ass food.
