Lord Jamar: "ShETHER" is the Best Female Diss Record I've Ever Heard

Since our last sit-down with VladTV regular Lord Jamar, Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma's beef bubbled up in the hip-hop world, and the Brand Nubian rapper made it clear that he thought Remy was the clear winner. Jamar went as far as to say that Remy's "ShETHER" diss track is the best female diss track he's ever heard, and he added that it changed his mind on female rappers, whom he previously said he would not listen to in his car.
Moving along, Lord Jamar addressed rumors that Papoose may have helped Remy with her lines, which Lord Jamar said he had no problems with. He explained that Remy and Pap are a complete unit in their strong partnership, and he sees no fault in him helping out his wife.

Nicki had to make all these calls to try to stop Remy and in the end Remy got the respect of the streets and public opinion. And Remy dont need someone to help her write anything she has been rhyming and battling since back in the day. And if she got help from her husband so what? Nicki called Drake and Wayne for backup and No Frauds was a mess.

First off I'mma give remy credit where credit is due. The bars, metaphors, and word play was fire in shETHER. No doubting that. That aspect was top notch! Correct me if I'm wrong though, but a lot of people's argument to why takeover was better than ether is because jay was spitting facts, as oppose to spitting insults like nas. But when it comes to shETHER, now everybody don't care if what Remy is saying isn't factual?! Let's be honest, her shETHER was just a bunch of hear-say and insults. She said nicki does cocaine, we haven't seen evidence of this. She said nicki fucked drake, wayne, trey songz, and ebro. None of which (as far as we know) is true. Her delivery on the track was weak. Tbh it did sound like she was reading a book. She wasn't riding the beat at all. And she used an angle that was already done before by pusha t, about Wayne's deal. She took dat and used it for nicki, since they essentially have the same deal. And the rest of the record was pretty much her calling nicki a slut and talking about her plastic surgery. I think a lot of people are going overboard with calling shETHER top 5 diss records (not jamar but others are saying this). When really if u break down the record, it's just a lot of hear-say and insults. What she was actually saying wasn't that great but how she structured it with the bars and metaphors was fire. It was just a decent diss record that had a lot of shock value b/c of the things she was saying, but most of which aren't even true. And btw, I'm not a fan of either nicki or remy, so I'm not saying this to shit on remy. Obviously shETHER was better than no frauds but I just don't think shETHER is all as good as ppl are giving it credit for. I guess the truth don't matter if the lie is more entertaining
