Finally a new Lord John video. He’s my favorite character in the Outlander world. David Berry is perfect in this role. I cherish every precious minute we get with him in the show. I love when he makes me cry.

I’ve never known someone who’s eyes can convey love, longing and pain all at the same time. Every time I see the prison scene where he reaches for Jamie’s hand, I tear up with empathy for John Grey. David Berry, you are awesome.

John Grey chooses goodness & integrity FIRST...BUT THEN HE IS GORGEOUS TOO & has us all pining for him...men & women alike. Those expressive eyes and grins...YUM! I love that he continues to choose selflessness, decency & integrity above all else when he could have taken Jamie selfishly and it’s amazing that he privately admires Claire. Is there truly a such a man in this world capable of this selflessness? David Barry has convinced me so on OUTLANDER! Damn it!

Jamie may have felt hate toward him at that moment. Black Jack Randall's rape of Jamie undoubtedly worsened an already negative view of homosexuals Jamie would likely have inherited from the church and the prevailing cultures.

David Berry, played his character so we'll. He's an amazing actor and to me was definitely overlooked. I love when he show's up. The love he has for Jaime is so strong. Just looking at him makes me realize how much he truly loves Jaime. But makes me love his character even more. He knows that even though he loves Jaime, he can never have him. We are enjoying seeing a sassy spicy Lord John Grey this season 7. I think he finally realizes how toxic it is to be in the Fraser's lives. They take-take from him and leave ashes in their wake. ~ What a Superb actor #DavidBerry is. We #Outlander fans NEED the series spin off of the Novella books written by Diana Gabaldon, with David Berry cast again as Lord John Grey.

J ai découvert cet acteur dans outlander. Je l adore . Il est vraiment hyper convaincant et son personnage lui va comme un gant. Il est tout en justesse il ne tombe jamais l excès. Leur relation est belle malgré un immense amour à sens unique. Jamie aime cet homme mais pas de la même façon. Il est l ange gardien de jamie. Heureusement qu il est là pour lui. How would anyone imagine that a Highlander fan of the books and the series would choose to watch and attempt to listen to their favorite characters being muffled by the singer's voice and music? The singer and the 🎶 are well done and enjoyable on their own. Neither is acceptable drowning out a scene from the Outlander book or series. Do please consider stopping. Your are quite acceptable on your own.

David Berry does a masterful job playing LJG. This video covered his relationship with Jamie beautifully. Unrequited love is incredibly painful. Even today in relatively tolerant places like America, a gay man's unrequited love of a straight man is even more painful, particularly if the straight man does not understand homosexuality. Being closeted even in this time is incredibly hard. I cannot imagine how LJG endures or lives his life loving a man he cannot have and living in a society where sex between men was criminal. It would have been truly soul crushing but somehow he endures.

Usually any hint in a movie or book of sexual tension between two men makes me uncomfortable. This is the only time I have ever felt sympathy for such a event. Beautifully performed by all.

I have not read the books. Glad this video moved you. I honestly believe that Jamie does not understand that LJG feels the same type of feelings for him that he feels for Claire. After the rape by Black Jack Randall, Jamie likely has worse feelings toward homosexuality and gay men than he would have had before, and he probably inherited plenty of negativety from his culture and religion. After the beating in episode 12, if I could talk to Jamie, I would tell him just how much LJG loves him. The proof has been in his actions. His family saved Jamie from execution after Culloden. He got Jamie paroled when Ardsmuir closed. When Jamie had to leave Helwater for Scotland to avoid Willie finding out his heritage, LJG acted as Willie's father for years. He allowed Jamie to escape from arrest when he was Governor of Jamaica. He became engaged to Brianna to prevent her marriage to Joscasta's lawyer. He married Claire to save her from hanging. All of those things, LJG did for Jamie and his family because he is in love with Jamie.

What an intens video, what a good actor! ( and ladies, what a beautifull man, in and out) a character that is a bit cut out to much in comparison to the books. But as written above the most interesting opportunities for Lord John are comming in the later books during the inderpendence war. I hope they get that far with the series. I really like him a lot, so I read all the novels about Lord John( 4 in total) , than you get an even better understanding of his persona.

Jamie Fraser embodies sacrificial love. He lives it every day. It is no mystery that he is desired by women, but even men admire the qualities of his character. Lord John desired him for additional reasons, in a world where those leanings could not be uttered. He deserves to have that same look of satisfaction on his face as Claire has for Jamie, just as she said.
