Agree, Cora & Mairead are really missed in LOTD. No one is compared to the original violinist of Lord Of the dance, I am wondering if they'd record a further show with Mairead & Cora.

Because the girls aren't actually playing the violins . They're just actors. There's people in the back playing the music while the girls move to it

I’ve watched LOTD for so long, my family is Irish. The original is what I stand by, that was beautifully done + simple. The outfit choices are so bad + it’s so out of key towards the end, so messy !

Am I the only one who actually really enjoyed this? I think Mairead is a much better violinist than these two, but this version was much cleaner than Mairead and Cora's (except for the audience, dear Lord, they were off practically the whole time).

Looks entertaining... but they're not really playing, that's why they can jump around and everything sounds so absolutely perfect and homogenized. They have mutes on their violins and a track is playing behind them.

I went to see them live in Dublin, I was a little bit disappointed by the violinists... Then again I did watch a lot of the original lord of the dance, I guess it is just really hard to find violinists in the class of Máiréad Nesbitt and Cora Smyth. They are just amazing. Still not a bad performance, although I agree on the outfits, they could have been a bit... more PG I guess, pretty much could look up their dresses from the highest row in the o2..

As a long-time musician I can tell you this sounds very different than the version with Mairead and Cora. They used electric violins, producing a much less realistic buzzing sound, while these two used genuine ones (or very convincing electric violins). Also, the second song had some different notes in the melody.

Because they aren't actually playing. Theres a backtrack and they are just moving to it. I've worked in the industry. Ghost singers and musicians are very common. The real talent performs in the back and the pretty one goes on stage

They did not move thier fingers once as a fiddle player of 30 years ...."".dancers who were placed different". Definitely no fiddle players lay my house on it they would not be able to move like that. Utter crap do not pretend which these are to irish players .....easy to see watch

Exactly I watched it several times and the girls are not playing. They are moving to the music. They are just actors. They look like they belong in a strip club. I don't believe for a second that they are real fiddle players

Comparing to 1996 duo - no. These girls from 1996, was quadriple better. No such passion. They're plastic. And looks like a playing under phonogram. No that 1996 effect. But long legs in fishnet pantyhose is noargueable great. Somebody sell these pantyhose? My wife will look good in these. We are here in Russia don't have a fishnet pantyhose. Locals can't made it, europeans all leave.

Giada Costenaro la conosco fin dai suoi esordi, andava ancora a scuola ed era una Bambina. Guardate una valdostana fin dove è arrivata con le sue sole gambe... Senza l'aiuto di nessuno e calci in culo. È una delle più talentuose violiniste al mondo... E senza esagerare.
