They put out a "Making of" video, and I might have missed it, but I don't think that was a family house. It's supposed to represent his teenage room, though. The stuff in the room were either his stuff from his life, or representations of his things. For example, the amp was Pi's first amp because he doesn't have his first one anymore.

It's exactly how I feel every time I hear that song. It hits me hard aswell. I lost both my parents in 1,5 years time and I could not say goodbye to my father. That's something that still bothers me.
