You get like little hints of really exceptional animation. 80% of it is just uncanny valley rotoscoping weirdness but then you get some really great expressions or movements that work so well.

God this music works so well with this scene in this style. Especially when he screams and scares them back.

Wanna know how badass this Boromir is? He is struck not by one, not two, not three, but SEVEN arrows buried deep (you can only see the little feathers) and STILL killl two orcs, shout at them so vigorously they fall back, blow his horn AND talk to Aragorn in the end.
@mckenzie.latham916 жыл бұрын
it also shows how much of cowards the orcs were, they couldn't beat him had to hand so thy shot him.

See, the live action movie's version is incredible, but Aragorn's lost expression at 2:18 just gets me _every fucking time._ He looks so damn helpless, it's heartbreaking.

Same! I love this Aragorn and the animation did a great job of capturing his emotion there.

For me what gets me is that this Boromir does not get the feeling of relief in his last moments unlike SB's Boromir, and the implication he died knowing he had succumbed to the ring's allure, scared Frodo away, then doomed Merry and Pippin to the orcs - with his last words being focused for their wellbeing. The whole situation in this scene was downright sad. The OST compounded the facts.

Only because of their cowardly reliance on sheer numbers and overwhelming weaponry to bring him down. Without the arrows, he would've slain most, if not all of them, even with the arrows, he still manages to slay some of them, call for reinforcements AND scare the sh*t out of them, all whilst he is slowly dying. Boromir, the mightiest warrior in the fellowship, some say even more mighty than Aragon, he just had doubts in the success of the quest, and pride that couldn't be matched, too much pride perhaps. Brave warrior. Son of Gondor. 👏🔥
