***** I strongly disagree with you. The bass is one of the most versatile instruments in existence. It can be used to play chords, bass, melody, you name it. Listen to guys like Victor Wooten, Michael Manring or Adam Ben Ezra, these guys really push the instrument's capabilities to the absolute limit (And beyond).

The strings Zander uses make the bass go 1 octave higher in the top 3 strings i think, so it has a very big range. Due to the length of the neck and thickness of the strings tapping is made very much easier (at least for me), the tone gets fuller and bigger, and 4 strings are enough of a span to have at least 2 octaves in one position, so you can get any chord from it. Any instrument is versatile in the right hands.

Zander... this is superb work, as good as it gets in a lost of ways, I listen to a ton of jazz fusion players, and have a rock/reggae/hip hop/funk background, but this is probably the most moving type of playing I've heard. Yup. You did it!
