There are reasons for both, yes the charged heavy is slightly more damage and pins for easy mixups, some people prefer the more options you get from keeping your combo going and being able to play off of what the enemy panic throws out instead of maybe simple 50/50 punch from pin. In other words, its a really good way to mix it up, even though its not a traditional 50/50 mixup, changing how you play can really throw your opponent off, I truly dont think you should ALWAYS go for the little bit of extra damage if it means your opponent gets a better read on you.

@ He literally could’ve killed a guy in the first fight if he did the fully charged heavy, more damage is almost always better than forcing yourself in a situation where you need to make multiple reads. This might’ve been better advice before the cent buff but now that his punch is so good it’s almost always better to go for fully charged

@@Professor_POVFH Youre right that Cent doesnt need to play so big brain mixup heavy and adaptable now that theyve made his punch better (I.e. not interruptable via light/some other bashes like Jorms old neutral) But at higher levels of play? Id 100% still recommend that mixing up what you do rather than always going for the same 50/50's every time is a better decision, throwing off the rythm and going for wild shit absolutely works and is beneficial. (That being said 99% of FH players dont even use their brains enough for that sorta thing to work on them, often youd just get panic lighted out from neutral etc) I was just tryna point out that there are some cases where its beneficial to not get those extra few damage in (unless it wouldve been the kill shot, duh) And its also a personal preference thing. For example, even if we talk average games, a lot of average FH players cant/dont even try to react to Cent's heavies properly, and landing 2 regular heavies is more damage than his charged heavy and we could argue the punch mixup following has the same odds in terms of outcomes as landing the followup heavy in either of 3 directions. If you think or know you can land that second heavy, which will lead you into your punch mixup anyway, its actually more damage and better mindfck pressure.

One thing that a lot of people don't consider when talking about Shaman's bite is that, yes, it does 35 damage, but it also undoes any bleed damage that has not ticked down yet. So if a Shaman stabs you for 1 direct damage + 16 bleed and then bites straight away, yeah she's hitting you for 35 damage, but she's also essentially healing you for 12 at the same time. Not only that, but the healing of the bleed happens as soon as the attack makes contact, before doing any damage. So if you connect a bite, but then get interrupted by an enemy or a careless teammate, you have ended up healing your target, not to mention feeding a bunch of revenge. For instance, look at 6:55. She deflected you (16 bleed), hit another bleed stab (16 more bleed), and then the bite. So that's 32 bleed damage that she did to you, but it looks like you only ticked for 12 before the bite hit. So yeah, the bite does 35, but the net damage was only 15 because she healed you for 20 at the same time. If you look at your health bar when she lands the bite, you see all that red turn white, and you can see how much of the damage goes to waste.

7:21 He's not fully playing to win. He is testing what works and what doesn't, and repeats the same thing to get more tries in. I do this a lot as well. I ate 6 kensei dodge attacks against the same opponent doing the same thing. As PK, when throwing a side heavy into dagger from +1 frame advantage, not once was I able to deflect the dodge attack. Winning is not that important. (I do try hard at times too ofc) I sacrifice games to learn and this opponent is probably doing that as well.
