The funniest part about the Mando blaster is the fact that there's a cheaper one coming out that was listed on Amazon that looks better and is just missing the electronics and the fancy box. So if you really want a nice enough prop blaster and you're a fan of the show (which, let's be honest, is what most people are going to buy it for over actual performance), just get that one instead.

You have the Thundershot situation, as far as what went wrong with them internally that was making folks' blasters break, pretty much exactly backwards: those early reviewers giving it good press hadn't been sent prototype versions that wound up being superior to the finalized production version, because costs had been cut in the window between those prototypes being produced and the final design entering production, such that the final design broke where the prototypes did not... they were sent what was "supposed to be" the finalized production version of the blaster, that Buzz Bee thought were what was being assembled and shipped (that being the design they approved). The ones initially on store shelves that were breaking, were actually the prototypes: they'd scrapped that version precisely because it broke in the way that ours started to once we got our hands on them, hence the redesign of the catch mechanism from the original sear over to the superior one that had been present in the early review copies - the factory responsible for the faulty sort hitting shelves had just incorrectly failed to switch to the final version when full production started, and kept making that initial prototype, hence the version we got sucking in the way that it did.

Yup, that's the visible tell between the "whoops, the factory kept using the determined to be non-viable (because it breaks) version when full production started" and the one that they (apparently) thought was being put into production, it having apparently been the final design; the other visible differences that could crop up aren't necessarily tied to it using a sear that breaks vs a dedicated catch that shouldn't, it's specifically just "does your trigger move when you prime the hammer - like a Hammershot would - or not".

Clarification: According to Buzz Bee, the defective Thundershots were a prototype that was never supposed to go into actual production, but the factory didn't receive the updated designs for some reason and the first run on shelves were the defective prototypes. New production Thundershots are the more robust design, and you can tell them apart if you buy it in person by priming it in the box and seeing if the trigger moves on its own. Not sure if I believe that story entirely but at least you can find the better ones if you try. But when the 6-SH exists, why bother?

Your POV on the thunder shot is slightly flawed. The “better” version is actually the full production model. The flawed one was actually the real prototype that somehow slipped out and was produced along with the production model. It was a weird situation that happened and we shouldn’t fully forgive Buzzbee for it but we still shouldn’t completely shun them

From what I understand, what happened was that Buzzbee has two factories, and one factory went with the earlier design, and the other went with the final design, so for a while _both_ were floating around in the market, with the worse version coming from the factory with higher output. However, they specifically recalled the product so that the inferior version could get off the shelves pronto. Which is faster than what Nerf did with the Warden, to my knowledge.

Actually if I recall correctly with the buzzbee revolver, most of the KZbinrs got the flawed version that was breaking. Buzzbee reached out and said "oops that was the old model and somehow the files got mixed up at the injection molding factory." Still annoying and a goof but the way you conveyed it made it seem like buzzbee was trying to pull one over and I think this was just a case of incompetence.

The thing that offends me most about the Mandalorian limited release blaster besides the fact it's being re-released as a normal Blaster is the fact they put a jolt of all things into a blaster with that much barrel and charged $120 for it. And Hyper just offends me that they're not even including enough grounds to fill the Blaster even once

I actually do really enjoy the rush-40. I do agree with all points though, if I didn’t mail nerf in an inclosed, indoor modded league arena, I don’t think I would have ever touched hyper considering the high price for smaller rival. The capacity is quite nice if you can deal with the semi-often jamming

I feel kinda bad for Buzz Bee because before this year I had never bought one of their blasters before because I thought they weren’t any good. However, their Adventure Force Triggerfire and Air Warriors Sidewinder are two of the funnest blaster’s I’ve ever used!

I do like the focus because the amp is great for me because the trigger pull is smooth and the FPS is great and now we have ultra accustrike so now it’s useable,

Claw and it's variants is actually unique good in a way (apart from what it is) as it has a super easy access to the spring and VERY durable shell that let's you go a bit crazy on the spring as long as you have one that fits, that's not the easy part. I managed to get mine to over 110-130FPS (even better with half-darts which are also more accurate there), it is ridiculous to prime, sure, but the trigger catch works and it has a real punch. Obviously the AR and short barrels are an issue here - but on the other hand you can get them for 1-2$/£. That's good even if you will only salvage the spring. So I would say this is potentially the best "baby's first modded springer" there is.

We need Hopper fed internal magazines for spherical ammo. Imagine an Artemis with a hopper on top. While you are shooting out of one magazine, another one is being refilled, either with a battery powered mechanism or one powered by the prime. It loads like a Nemesis, shoots like an Artemis or a Charger or a Khaos. That might fix Hyper (and make the Infinus gimmick useful). Hopper reloading is great, but it is unacceptable that you don't know what is going to happen when you pull the trigger. It is unacceptable that you have to shake the damn blaster to make it function. I want nothing to do with Hyper or the Persemesitheus for that reason. (and why use a Hades when you can use a Nexus?)

Best thing you can do with the Amp is to do the Kury dual stage pulsar mod. It’s an incredibly ingenious mod. Hits 220 avg, 230 highs on 3s. Thanks Kury!

I really like the pistol. Only time I’m using it is indoors so don’t have to worry about losing ammo or dirty ammo. It’s fun and not too expensive but nothing in the video is inaccurate about hyper pretty spot on.

Its really sad to see just how many corners Hasbro is willing to cut just so they can keep their profit margins. I too am very displeased with Hasbro's design culture in that they give us very bare bones blasters with the inability to be able to tinker with their product after purchase. All the while, their prices continue to increase with very little gains. Meanwhile I recently bought a Longshot and will be looking forward to modding it. I was in college when they first came out. Back then I took out the air restrictor, and stretched out the stock spring, designed a pump grip out of plastic and wood (because back then you couldn't buy a nice kit), and cut up two of the 6-dart clips to make a longer one (also because 6-dart clips were the only ones available at the time). Now that I'm older, and metalworking doesn't scare me, I bought another Longshot and plan to do a proper brass barrel on this second attempt. Maybe Hasbro will make better blasters in the future, but I'm not going to hold my breath. If my modding goes well, perhaps I'll try and get my hands on a Caliburn. Seems like 3-D printed blasters are the way to go these days. Anyways, wish everyone the happiest of holidays~

I need some help with something. I looked into it and there is no active nerf group that I know of in the Orlando area, and I see that as a issue. Buzzbee fixed the Thundershot after the backlash. I got one off the shelf and it had the superior internals. I’m smashing it into an old x shot vigilante shell (replacing the handle basically) and making a gunblade out of it lol

I like the Hyper pistol. It is way way way way way better and more accurate than any of the stock dart guns I have tried. You can actually hit small targets and plates consistently with the hyper pistol. You can clean hyper balls with a little water and dawn soap if they get a little grimy...good as new. The worst I have tried is pretty much any of the foam dart shooters...but especially the hyper. The sniper rifle shoots far but is not accurate at all. I can't hit a plate consistently at 10 yards from a target. The Fortnite sniper rifle has now power and is similarly as wild on where the dart goes. The only decent dart shooter I tried is the Nerf Strong Arm revolver and similar.

Is ultra only bad because it uses ultra darts and not normal darts? Because I actually like ultra and don’t understand the hat because here in Australia we have limited access to nerf guns and they are hard to find guns that are elite, zombie strike and other stuff and they all have grey triggers which mean the FPS and shooting range is significantly less so since I don’t know how to mod flywheels and can’t get hands on a rapidstrike or a stryfe I’m actually a massive fan of the select and the amp.
