Literally saw an older lady today in a local Midwest chain store loading a few fort nite blasters into her cart and she was eye balling the #1 on this list for her older two grandchildren. She saw me looking at some of the blasters on the wall and asked my opinion. After a brief chat she found some different blasters that were cheaper but far better than what she was looking at. I’m Surprised the Buzz-Bee Pixelator isn’t on this list. Uncomfortable grip, uncomfortable trigger, uncomfortable prime, the blaster LITERALLY cuts your hand if you use it for extended amounts of time. Easily around a number #3 for worst of 2022.

Gonna have to disagree on the Roblox rocket launcher. It would be better if it stored air and retailed for less than $30+ but it's powerful and fun to use. Might actually be my favorite HAMP-style blaster they've ever released.

i think by sheer virtue of who is making this statement that the roblox blaster needs to be on this list. your claim to fame is being able to take bad blasters and run them at wars. if a blaster is too good, it doesnt give the appropriate challenge. if you like it, it means youve done well with it and that means that its bad.

I wish Nerf would say “I won’t bore you with this any further” about Hyper in general haha. The evolve is incredibly weird looking. I liked the shells from the original flight anyway. Amban blaster is one of the few blasters I have ever returned. Awful. Ha, have been writing as listening, so amused to hear that actually returning something is a notable thing. I don’t have a Speed here in Canada, but I will probably get one eventually, totally an Ultra sucker over here (which says something about how little I touch anything Hyper). The mag thing is unreal though. Pretty on board with this list, enjoyed it. :)

I have a shark-bite and I kept it because I actually made money on it. There was a brief window where two deals overlapped. Got it for 27 cents (after tax even) then sold the skin code for a game I don’t play for 6.50 via ebay.

IMO this list is perfect except... #1. The magazine incompatibility is pretty inexcusable, BUT the Speed went on one of my gift guide lists because it's the only in-store off the shelf blaster with a high firing rate and it stands out for that reason. It's definitely near the bottom of the list of the year's blasters but simply for that one completely unique, stand-out feature I can't see it being the absolute worst. Anyway, cheers to a new, hopefully Hyper-free, new year!

The ultra speed aint that bad the magazine stuff is bad but other than that its fun to use its just more fun to play around with than play in a nerf war any nerf blaster that dumps its mag in a second is clearly not war practical (unless its small then its good for a backup) but its still fun to shoot a bunch of darts out really fast its def overpriced and flawed but its not the absolute worst thing this year

Make it six people because I like ultra even though I used it once. Specifically the ultra two I didn’t keep it because I was testing it to see if it still works so my dad can have it sold at the store he works at. Other than that I’m just optimistic person when it comes to nerf blasters.

When I got my first ultra blaster (the ultra 2) I shot a the thing and the round broke. It only came with 6 rounds.

I feel that the hyper line was a disaster except for the rush 40. My brothers and I call it "the sin pistol" because it is a sin to use something that shoots so hard. Ultra also was a bit of a failure due to inaccuracies and slow bullets. I love nerf youtubers because they can tell you what the hidden gem of each line of nerf guns is.

I know you don't do those much these days but I remember your fondness for the halo franchise and crossing it into flung foam. I'm worried they're sonically welded together so masking it is pretty intimidating

I think I'm going to mod the Ultra Speed motors and wiring harness and put them into a Fortnite AR-L do you think that's possible? If not,can I use cut down Nerf Mega darts in the Ultra Speed or Ultra Strike?

Three of the last four years Ultra tops the list. The one Ultra didn't, it was Hyper that did Hasbro has fallen far from the good ol' days, that's for sure. Hit after hit, year after year are well and truly gone, maybe even if they do a massive course correction Even more interesting that 2019, the year Ultra arrived, was also the year they released their best product in their most acclaimed line (Rival Perses), and the year that Dart Zone finally surpassed them with the DZP Mk1

I have actually bought the ultra speed and your Reviews Made me kinda sad. Your reason is good, IT IS true that it isnt reasonable for People WHO want to have 10 mags to reload, but I feel Like the blaster Just a Lot of fun. Appart from rival there isnt really any faster firing belasters than this and I Had so much fun with this on Like a 2v2 with Friends.

On the topic of the roblox blasters, I think a decent vid to do would be to judge the roblox collection in a single video, oriented towards the demographic of "looking for gift for a kid that enjoys roblox" More than once I've seen people browsing the flung foam isle and have offered advice, and my lack of knowledge of the roblox stuff is something I'm concerned might hold me back at some point X3

Gel blasters kind of confuse me in general. It just seems like worse airsoft so...why? Why not just go full nerf or full airsoft I don't get it. Really disagree with the nerf ultra speed. The electrical sag sucks but over all it's a really fun blaster for just screwing around in the house. As a collector, I like whacky strange ammo types. I'm never going to take any of the strange ones to a game but I like them for plinking.

America is a bit behind when it comes to gel blasters. In Australia where air soft is not aloud. Gel blasters have taken over and most air soft companies make the same airsoft guns in gel blaster form. So they are very realistic looking and shoot fast and strong. Check out gel blaster stores in Australia online. Way more advanced than the USA at the moment

I would argue the Alpha Auto and the Blitz 6 are both really good. Buzzbee had a renaissance with those 2 IMO.

I like Hyper. It’s bizarre and inconsistent. It’s not Nerf. But I like the visual design and form factor of the blasters, and really enjoy watching the dumb rubber balls careening around the house as my equally dumb cats crash into the walls chasing em. They’re useless, but fun! Basically perfect for this period in history.

My Pulse Mando blaster freakin broke man. I would shoot it every now and then, but one day, the dart tube piece snapped off, and now I have to open and load it with two hands just to sneak a dart in. Barely worth the price of admission.

I think I would definitely swap out the Web shooting hamp for the fortnite GL. That dumb thing doesn't even werk 2/3 of the time... gave ya 5 shots and you -might- miss a target 10 feet away with 3 rockets. You might jam entirely on the first shot ol

buzzbee needs to bring back the sental, gel fire is not the best, hyper should be in some sort of proton pack or 1000 round blaster maybe even a sniper blaster, The plase rifle for 55 dollars honestly looks better, demolisher rockets are outshined by mega xl and finally if the speed should only be 30 dollars.

The Gel Fire Mythic is a bit of a shame, bc I actually prefer how it looks in a big way to all the real-steel-copies that the gel space has. Maybe it'll drop in price as time goes on and be more worth a pick up.

My impulse 40 feeds very well actually. I usually don't dry fire unless I have more than 40 rounds or less than 10 in the hopper. But it still doesn't have a hop up....... 😠😠😠😠😠😠

The Amban PP Rifle was on the list last year (as Bobo's dishonorable mention). Some people didn't get it until 2022, so... okay. It is available on Amazon USA for $90USD if that is the blaster you mean is limited (It was supposed to be actually limited but Hasbro lied). Or do you mean the Hyper Impulse which I don't think is sold in the US? The Fuel 20 was even worse, so I thought all 3 Hypers should have been in a single slot. Anyway, we are owed 2 more Worst blasters to fill in for the second Hyper slot and the Amban PP.

As cheap and mediocre as buzz bee is, I feel they're at least better than zuru xshot. Buzz bee at least tries different things and has gimmicks while xshot seems to just re-shell and re-skin the same 5 vanilla focus-grouped blasters they've had for years now. They don't even have any mag fed or electronic blasters and the marketing is very "corpo," catering to the lowest common denominator with front loaded springers.

My bottom 5.... 5. Pixelator 4. Duce pro 3. Tornado 2. Vulcanator 1. Flip 16 Most of what came out this year, and the last few years has been crap, but some of the best ever blaster have come out too, mostly from worker and dart zone. I love the speed, by the way. With 3 3.7v ebl batteries and 3 dummies it's everything it's supposed to be and more. Ultra has its place. The speed was an awesome addition to the line. It's only bad if you don't like ultra. That's not a reason to label it the worst blaster of the year.

Its in the middle for me, As the only half dart revolver not powered by gas, its kinda in a category of its own. Ive sold over a thousand cylinders that fix the issue and enough of them locally that I've all but forgotten it needed a bug fix. Definitely appreciate the reminder but a couple years ago we were all pandering for a half dart revolver and hopefully the Deuce lights the way for a solid one in the coming year,

Yes I would agree it's the only one I bought or ever would buy. Never even thought about any on the list but I searched for the deuce and was excited to find it. It will shoot six if you slowly prime it back but normal use will always skip.

I nominate the Deuce for being so disappointing out of the box. Not because of it's performance. It's flaws made what should have been an easy buy into a complete avoid. Skipping darts, darts falling out, etc.
