When I play my Barri for concert band it low key vibrates my entire body so I don't know how this legend is going it on that beast (Side note that alto playing was mega super fine your tone was amazing you made it sound jazzy smooth so I, a alto jazz sax need to learn from the king)

That's what compact contrabass saxes used to be used for in military marching bands then they realized no soldier wants to carry the 6'6 saxophone so they stopped. Then somebody thought "well since we aren't marching it let's make it bigger," then they did that and now we have this absolute unit of a sax.

Contrabass saxophone. They play in the same range as a tuba and play excellent defense in most sports.

Dash Vader in concert pitch, the tuba can only play down to an E, but a contrabass sax can play to a C.

kason cheese Well, almost the same range. It also depends on what key that particular tuba is in. Bb, C, Eb, and F tubas are the most common variants, but others do exist, like pre-2000 drum corps G contras.
