@paulltyler I’ve only heard a few so far, and some I think are reasonable and one I couldn’t finish. In a sense, a tribute album should pay homage to an artist or artists by showing that they are loved by their peers but cannot be improved upon. I’d expect that for the TH...I’ll probably give them all a listen, but then I’ll be prompted to dig out my LPs, now that my amp has a phono input again. 😀

A great tribute. Some artists feel the need to radically reinterpret a classic through their own lens. That makes sense sometimes - like for the Skip Spence tribute More Oar - where artists took the haunting song sketches he managed to send out from the abyss of mental illness. But there's no improving on Talking Heads. They made some of the more intentional, intelligent, pure music of all time. She knows this as an artist. This is a pure tribute. She pays a great homage to a band she respects and understands for their brilliance by not reinterpreting it, but rather singing it with her whole heart. Bravo!
