Month long or weekly breaks are good. I use apps to block my daily amount of time. Unfortunately i cannot find one that works on my ipad. My laptop i use cold turkey and my samsung i use stayfocused. I realllllllly love stayfocused and wish i could use it on all my devices.

I had a dear friend, who is now passed, that was on the autism spectrum. He was utterly fascinated rather with anything map related. It was cool. Not funny. Social media, like sugar, like alcohol , like drugs, or any other vice , is not about getting rid of it completely , is about learning to control yourself and be at peace, without needing any of it, even if it's all around you. A good step is to start by trying to live weeks without it, till eventually reaching a point where you can have it in your hands, and not really wanting to consume it.
