el kar Sure. You'd think cheering/shouting her name would be better or mean more, and a whisper would mean little, but it's the other way around. Whispers means so much more: Wars always start with whispers, and now that she is a rebel people don't cheer her name anymore (That's illegal I bet) so intead they whisper it, to inspire each other because she is the Mockingjay now. I just find that really cool.

For everyone complaining about the humming, it's Lorde's way of representing Katniss' mental state: dark, a bit crazy, and very vacant, in a sense. The song has lyrics and a backing track sandwiched between the sections of humming to represent Katniss' short moments of extreme passion that return to bitter depression and emptiness. Charlotte Duce I honestly don't, but that was my interpretation right when I heard the song. It just makes the most sense to me, and I know Lorde is intellectual enough that she would do that.You're free to disagree and I certainly can't confirm anything.
