I would argue that your dragon falling asleep on you shows they have a very good bond with you. You are big and scary and if they actually fall asleep on you it’s incredibly comfortable and doesn’t see you as a threat

I also had to learn his little dance before he poops But it was more like, like it or not, it was my buddy and I had no choice in the matter

My baby falls asleep on me every night then I have to place her back in her terrarium enough she wakes up and looks at me like mom no!!! Some weird reason she doesn’t like heat she loves 70-80’s. I always tell her she isn’t a beardie.

I love that so much. Our girl is just a bit over a year old and in the evening she will voluntarily climb right on my chest and she does her comfy wiggles. Makes me wanna tear up. She could go anywhere, sit next to me or jump off the couch (which she loves during explore time) but when she's tired she seeks out my chest and it's just so ridiculously cute

Ahhh my beardie gave me the side eye all the time when I took her out of the enclosure to explore. She passed in late 2021 and watching this video makes me realize that she was a lot happier with me than I thought. Thank you.

I got mine an hour before my beardie passed out on my leg. Has been 3 days, it is just so weird.. I got a baby. Zero aggression, zero running away from me, he only runs and jumps and goes crazy when exploring. Every time I hold him he just falls asleep immediately on me. I love him.

So crazy this sounds like me. My beardie's name is Mushu. He is 4 years old and I honestly don't think I let him out enough or interact with him enough. He will hang out with me for a little but then will run around my room and then go to one of his favorite spots to fall asleep. He's never fallen asleep on me before either. thanks bro this really gave me some comfort after my baby's passing yesterday... she got to be only 2.5 years and died of inoperable stomach and livercancer... she allowed me to do all these things and was always curious and huggy and gave me kisses, ate from my hand, let me pet her, slept with me.. man she hated water but she could be completely fine if i would whisper her that it would be okay... i really really miss my little Froggy and i remember watching your videos all the time on tips on how to take care of her. thank you so much Elion... much love... will be watching again after some time when i have the peace to have another baby...

Lots of love, just keep in mind your baby cannot digest his food properly without a minimum of 2 hours of proper basking Temps. Not trying to jump your back, or rain on your parade. It would just be devastating for your baby to undergo impaction due to a poor digestion routine.

@@lordelion9312 Thanks so much for your response!!!! I hope so because he is loved so much!!!!. He grew up never being held, was only on a diet of dried veggies and dead crickets and was in a basic tank with just paper bags for the bedding. The worst part was the dangerous heat rock that he had. He now has a fully functional habitat, eats organic fruits/veggies, along with live beetles and mealworms. He also gets a thawed out pinky once a month. Im so happy by his weight gain and his trust in me. I can only hope that he can continue to be happy, living out the rest of his days in our family.

Maybe you could start with a leash for him? It would give him the ability to build some more trust and set his boundaries? Their personalities really open up and shine when you give them freedom to roam.

I was worried about my Beardy because I adopted it from my mom (I don’t live with her and she moved to a place that doesn’t allow animals) and im still learning due to it being a little family emergency thing, good to know that she trusts me and loves me. She poops on me a ton 🙄, doesn’t hiss (she does do little puffs when she gets in the bath though, she’s not a big fan of it but never opened her mouth or shown aggression to me… ever), doesn’t react when I hold her, touch her, pet her or anything other than the signature side eye they do 😂, she eats her greens (although I need to find a way to get bugs for her because there’s no pet store near me that has it because I live in an Amish area, there’s only dried mealworms and idk if it’s safe for her to eat since they’re meant for chickens so whenever I visit my mom that lives in an area with lots of pet stores I try getting 100 crickets), she’s been getting more liquidy poops so I think it’s caused by her eating more greens and way less bugs, btw she’s a full grown adult one that’s around 4-5 years old so she doesn’t need bugs as often as a baby one, but regardless, she cuddles me, does the nuzzle wiggle thing in my lap, explores sometimes (she’s pretty lazy tho and just takes a few steps, lays down and looks around then takes another few steps till she finds a place to nap), we cuddle everyday, I always give her space when she’s showing signs of just wanting to chill out under her lamp (she will scoot her body away from my hand if she doesn’t want to be moved but most of the time she lets me pick her up bc it means cuddle time, blanket burrito time, or movie time for her 😂). Sorry if this is a bit much. I just freaking love this little goober and I’m so happy to know she’s showing signs of being happy with me. I’m trying my best to give her the best beardy life since her time on earth is shorter than mine. She’ll only be part of my life but I’ll be all of hers so I want to make the best of it for her.

My beardie Spyro has never shown aggression even when my young nephews would pull on his tail playfully..he's been super chill from the day I got him as a one month old baby...also if he needs to poop while chilling on me/my shoulder he will get down and he walks as far away as he can from me before he poops. Loving the mask! - thank goodness she poohs the same time of day! was pooped on once, almost vomited! Ceaning up after each pooh is enough! - she doesn't want to let me go when I tuck her in, and walks into my hand to be picked up! - she IS curious! By all that you said, I have a happy one. She loves to cuddle up. She lays under my robe while I play video games, but lately she has started climbing up til her head is touching my neck right under my chin.
