Thank you so so much for this guide. I couldnt understand jumping at all and couldnt find a video that explains it as well as yours did.
@Polopollo753 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this video! It's my 1st FG, I'm SSRose now, but I feel still very uncomfortable about jumping. There are so many things about jumping that are a lot harder so I tend to rarely jump. For instance, air to air: When Vegito is above me, I can never try to jL. His kicks recover very fast, and his grab is even faster to recover. I feel I need to almost plan he will do that to react and try something. I have been playing ZBroly since S2, but I want to drop him because he doesn't have an aerial launcher if you air to air (forcing a vanish to continue the combo, or try an assist which is way harder). And I need to get better incentives to do a2a. The aerial movements in dbfz are really complex. I had to drop Yamcha because I was zoned too much (especially by Frieza). I do not always have the time to 669, and even then it is not easy to do what we want once we jumped. I am always very impressed by you pros simply catching with a jL someone floating around. I always pause the video and try to analyze if the person used a super jump or a normal jump. I always play very defensively too. I noticed a lot of people, at a kind of close distance, just backdash, then IAD back to take their turn. I started to play Gogeta blue and I destroy people with 2M that catches their backdash by baiting this specific distance. There are a million combo videos for this games, but neutral/jumping/taking your turn analysis are almost non existent. The latest online tournament analysis by you pros, were amazing for me to watch and learn (and also discover more players). It is also why I like to watch YT and not much twitch. I want to analyze and rewind quickly to see what happened.

Whoa, you perfectly articulated how I feel about it too. There are a few aspects like jumping and turns that I don’t see covered a lot. I myself struggle so bad with IAD. I just can’t get it consistently, my thumbs are fat hahah
@Polopollo753 жыл бұрын
@@warshark13 yeah same with iad. I recently started to use 9+SD or 7/8 if too tight, but if I input it too fast, I end up doing a SD. I need to wait that my character recovers in order to input it. That is part of difficulty: doing frame perfect jumps in blockstrings. I may be wrong though, I'm still a noob IMO

Essentially any fighting game that lets you block or dodge in the air will naturally increase the amount players jump. This is only further encouraged by including unreactable midrange options or full screen options. Dragonball has all of these with the addition of high return on these mid/full screen options and relatively low return on air ones(for the risk/return) so seeing the game function like this makes sense.

This is just your normal state This is a jump ⬆️ And this, this ⬆️⬆️ is what is known as a jump that has ascended past a jump, or you can just call it a double jump. You've just pressed an extra button so what? Just wait! Has he really found a way to surpass an ascended jump, is that possible? He's just bluffing, I mean what would that make him double ascended? Another nice vid LordKnight but can you talk about S.Broly please. Super Broly has got nothing from the last 3 patches and has horrible frame data. None of his normals are safe so he can't stagger. The only move that jails for him is the first hit of 236 S and his beam which he can't even true string into. And he doesn't have any real mix. So I hope you see this and talk about him. P.S. I will keep leaving comments like I did on your last vid and hope that you see this.
@Phoenix-pb4sm3 жыл бұрын
He doesn't need to stagger, he's got a command grab, and anti air grab, and an armored chargeable 5H
@youcantknow61563 жыл бұрын
I dropped him because I thought he was bad because of this. But he’s really not meant to do a whole bunch of cursed ass mix. He’s meant to condition the opponent and convince them that they can only block to beat him, and then he grabs you. If you mash or up-back to avoid the grab, 236 S or even double 2M. If you reflect, charge 5H, DR or grab. Focused on the grab too much and try to react to it? Just make sure you can block 6m, cross-up, or same side SD. Don’t forget tic throws. And yeah, all of those are reactable mix-ups, but that is too much to be worried about all at the same time for you to consistently succeed on defense. If you wanna complain about S Broly, talk about him being negative on guard cancel all the time, or maybe you could say that his biggest buttons are kinda slow and really negative on whiff.
@oniichandame483 жыл бұрын
@@youcantknow6156 yeh i agree that about guard cancel. I cant bait shit once i do anything other than 2L. And im wondering how i could bait dp, all his normals are unsafe so how tf do i block a dp and punish it. Sometimes i know the opponent is going for a dp, but i cant do shit because i cant block nor can i do a true blockstring to avoid it

@xNinjamodx3 жыл бұрын
I don't know if you knew this but you're vulnerable in the first 3 frames you jump. Even if you're holding block while you do it. Maybe this is the reason why you're getting hit because I get clipped A LOT because of this

hi LK ! Please can you make a Go1 jump guide?? i have seen a few videos on it , but i still don't manage to do it , even a single time!! But maybe YOU can explain how it really works ... I'm a vegito main and now when i watch wawa's vegito (best vegito in the world imo) i only see this fucking moonjump . Each time vegito get a midscreen skd (with j236m) or a level3 oki, wawa uses the go1 jump, and he is RIGHT (he NEVER Looses pressure, skd = free mix) on the opponent and .. you know the godly vegito jH .. Sometimes he pushes the moonjump far away ( i think you have a float momentum so you can reduce or increase distance before landing) , and its a fucking crossup . Sometimes he stops vegito's just before cross up with a same side jS , and its the same side sword opening ... With my average level player point of view, i have the feeling wawa has a schmix 50/50 opportunity at every single skd , when the others need a level 3 oki to do that . At least he never lose pressure ,never , so vegito becomes a nightmare , and that's teh best way to play vegito . I have asked many advice in french dbfz community, they try to help but they all begin by : "anyway go1 jump is cool but useless, don't care about it" . But ... i think they don't understand how VEGITO can pass from A-TIER to GOD-tier with this moonjump .. SO I NEED IT!!!!! Sorry for syntax i'm french . I really hope you 'll read this .
