Ive found FD and then 6p is a good way to punish people for just doing their regular block string.

Wow I really love this video. When faultless defense no longer decreased/added frame advantage. I was worried that the only downside of it was going to be that it costed meter. Which I thought was very dumb and oversimplified. But I see now that there are situations where, even if you had infinite meter, faultless defense would be worse

You can also use FD to make certain short range normals whiff and get a whiff punish

I like being defensive, and the best part lf being a cross-up boi, is when cross-up dont work on me, but being in the corner is too dangerous to block alot, so FD is definitely the counter play i need to start implementing more... thanks for some Situations that its best applicable for FD, Knowledge is power!

Learned some uncommon tips on this one. Which character has not the best, but most versatile options for escaping long blockstrings? Maybe a better way to phrase this, which character makes it the easiest on the player?
@fortidogi86202 жыл бұрын
I guess I'd argue Chipp here? Very fast P and K normals, invincibility on Beta Blade and super, fast-moving backdash and jump, great air mobility. Just dont guess wrong on what to use when.

Instant deffence is hard but helpful. I think i will never masterd it or be good at it.
@fortidogi86202 жыл бұрын
It gets much easier when you realize you dont need to return to neutral to do it. For example, while holding down/back, quickly move to down, then return to down/back. That'll IB low if you were being attacked, and youll only be not blocking for a very short time. Using it this way, you can attempt to IB attacks when you expect them by inputting the block a little early, and still end up blocking them normally if you messed up.

@fortidogi86202 жыл бұрын
Force them to burn meter on it, adapt your blockstring to not get pushed out, just throw... etc
@63skarduken2 жыл бұрын
Throw is the best option because they are committing to a block if they’re FDing. People don’t really do fuzzies and stuff if they FD. You can also go for a high/low 50/50 Maybe try varying your timing too to bait them into doing something

Does Ramlethal count towards similar vein as Nagoriyuki or May when it comes to FD route?
@Jorge-tl7sf2 жыл бұрын
Kind of i think because if shes close and using kicks, fding will only help put her in good range to use slash and heavy slash. If shes close but is using sword moves, pushing her away with fd means she cant get her 236h pressure and is now too far to connect with swords, which are fairly easy to punish if they whiff
