You didn’t even mention the crazed cats, I agree, when i first started doing 4 star sol the units I was hurting for the most was my super rares, although special cat talents, boosted ramen, slime and courier somewhat mitigates the units I was lacking I still think super rares are insanely good, even more so if you don’t have op fest Ubers like mitama (cyber carries) or dasli (pizza, slapsticks, housewife, mml carry)

definitively best units? Ubers, but overall best units? Super rares. Ubers have some insane game breaking units among them that are rarely matched by super rares like Balrog and Dkasli. (Though talented cyberpunk is probably the best crowd controller in the whole game) but ounce for ounce theres tons of shitty useless Ubers(Raiden has less dps than a single courier cat or castaway cat and he is a MID TIER dragon emporer) while almost every SR has quite a lot of good use cases.

hot take. the majority of ubers aren't actually all that bad. When people say bad, it usually just means "outclassed." especially in early/mid game, any uber unless it's genuinely horrible can be used, but rankings often ignore people in that stage and only focus on late game/currently releasing content. Basically it's not that they're bad per se, it's just that others are "better" also bonus take: because of so many units requiring epic seeds for true form now, like grandon units, there needs to be a way to get them other than gauntlets before UL

I think that MotP with all talents gets to the level of 'average' uber. It is noticable how the not super consistent surge is able to do more damage than its primary attack with a talent orb, which leads to the odd result of it moreso turning into a sniper esque unit. But 80% dodge, while funny, cannot simply carry the unit on its own most times, it should have received survive on top of the dodge or at least strong talent to also deal good damage.

The reason i think most people dont mind growing epic compared to growing strange is 1. ptsd from when GS first came out and it was ridiculous and 2. The fact that you only need 1 epic seed for most unit true forms while all true forms (that i can think of) that require elder fruit need at least 1 full fruit. So you only need to beat the growing epic continuation stage once whereas you have to beat growing strange’s continuation stage at least 5 times to make a fruit and sometimes you roll a stage that basically says fuck you. I do agree that growing epic having a 40% chance for the continuation stage is total bs.

My hot take: Seed tracking is a good idea, especially in late/end game because grinding rare tickets/catfood takes waaaaaaaay too long and a lot of these methods are either impossible to repeat or only happen once per year. So being able to see what you will get will help you 1. Save resources, and 2. Give you that unit you dont have yet but all guides tell you to use or just good ubers in general. And if you say things like "That removes the surprise of getting the unit you want" i beg to differ because when i got the cat i wanted i felt satisfaction and glad. So thats my hot take and please excuse my english if i made any mistakes (its not my first language) and thank you for listening to my TED talk.

I agree and disagree. As a late game player who has been playing the game for 8 years, up until end game, I have never used seed tracking. This made the game really difficult, because I didn’t have major carry units at my disposal to be able to beat the level. But that was the fun part of the game, using what u have and strategizing based off of that. As a late game player tho, it’s so unfair to try and collect Ubers. The ways to get cat food are so much harder and there’s no way to really collect Ubers without seed tracking. TL;DR If ur an early or mid game player, up until zero legends, I’d say just stick it out. But if ur at Zero legends, seed tracking all the way

lucifer is incredibly underrated as an LD uber. he has upwards of 10k dps vs floating, and 8k vs aku, and his range is completely absurd. it lets him safely deal with almost any enemy, fallen bears, ackey, lowkey, etc. this isn't even considering his surge, and while yes most of the time it won't hit the enemies, it can snipe peons in his blindspot and on rare occasions cause lots of extra damage to the enemies. his combo is amazing too, it's so good for the same reason cheating hearts or kanna's combo is, it's completely free as you'd typically use both of the units already. all of this combines to make an amazing superbackliner with a good niche and i would argue, one of the best snipers in the game.

I just feel like they require way to much investment (xp and especially catseyes). IMO ultra talents would’ve been perfect if they unlocked at lvl 50 instead of 60. Lvl 60 Ubers are kinda unreasonable (cuz dark catseyes) and at that point the unit is already like 2x as strong as it was at lvl 30 so wtf is the point of it.

Hot take: In my opinion Luminalia is criminally underrated -For what i saw many people have the idea of lumina being that one anti alien tank they saw on 1 unit against raging bahamut and thats it -On what legend rare tops i saw lumina is always mentioned as a decent anti alien tank while other units like kyosaka are explained in detail how amazing they are (this include tyrant cat unit that i personally always found as underwhelming performance) -This is my experience with lumina i got here in EoC 2 as my only usable big unit so i got all that time to experience with her using lumina on uncommon stages such mixed stages -following the last point i have to admire her awesome stats for a midranger in second form. She has very good health with good speed more than decent dps and dmg and range a fact many people forget or dont even know about her. We should all know she is one of the best anti aliens in the game with super resistance but it doesnt mean she is deadweight when facing other traits as i mentioned before i used her on many many other stages and traits even nowadays with behemoths Maybe i didnt explain myself good enough but i really had to improve all the way until the end game with lumina and thats precisely what made me realize how powerful she was but what many people skip or doesnt even know about her as a great general midranger unit i always felt that the way people look at lumina is that one unit that can solo ItF 3 but i want to change that i feel thats a disrecpectful way to look at such amazing unit Most people dont know the potential a unot has until themselves get the unit and experience how is really to use it that happened when i saw kyosaka so high in tops with the idea of her being another boring long range unit but it was until i got her that i realize how wrong i was about her. And overall good match ups for most traits in mixed stages and behemoths However she has bad match ups against the bears and other enemies with similar range

Ubers are overrated. Honestly in a lot of situations I find it hard to utilise an Uber instead of a super rare cat. Super rares are almost objectively better due to their typically better cool-down,cost and ease of use. A lot of my favourite cats are super rares ( Can can, Pizza, Bullet train, Soap, Seafarer, Cat jobs, Metal) and I honestly think they have a way larger place in endgame meta than any Uber could even imagine.

Clearing behemoth stone stages can be done with ubers/continues (let's be real, that catfood would've been wasted buying riches for kappy) whereas kappy is more or less locked behind sol completion for rock.

Rule to know about banners... NEVER use catfood on them unless it is a guaranteed drop, only use rare tickets if you have them. Even then its best to hold rare tickets for fests or boosted uber drop chances. The Banner chances are bad, don't risk them with catfood.

Okay, Coppermine isn't a bad unit, however, ultra talents for her mediocre output to become a bit better are not worth it, there are other ubers that have the same targets that Coppermine does, but they crowd control their targets way better. Besides, the long foreswing hinders her usage against swarmy floating enemies, which are the ones that you usually have to crowd control. Not only that, her foreswing can also leave her missing due to high knockback count of swarmy floating enemies, while Sanzo's stackable nature, alongside quick and rapid attacks can easily deal with that issue.

To be fair, Lumi can solo pretty much any Alien only stage, not just the funny moon stage. Also to add to this, Aer is also a good general attacker with its high range and decent damage. The problem is that specialists exist and most people are gonna use a specialist before they decide to use a general unit.

Ebisu is great at cheesing. I cheesed No Hope Ranch and many other stages with ebisu. It also is one of the few anti M.Ost counters. Though all the battle cats youtubers dog on this cat, it deserves a lot more love.

Hot take: Fabled Adventure Kanna is heavily underrated and is one of the few ubers who has behemoth slayer. She deletes basically any black enemy in the game with dps even higher then Dasli against black alone without taking her behemoth slayer into account and even dark duche who has surge immunity gets shredded by Kanna's multi hit. On top of all that whenever Kanna gets knocked back her attack cycle resets allowing her to summon multiple surges at once and her pause between attacks is relatively short for the damage dealt. Any new black behemoths in the future won't stand a chance against Kanna unless they have high range and surge immunity and she doesn't even have talents yet

This isn't really a hot take but I'm still mad about beast stones. Everything released recently requires them to evolve, and while the stages to get them are by no means impossible it still takes an enormous amount of time to get a stockpile of them because you can only play each stage once, and you can't even guarantee what kind of stone you'll get without playing a hunter's mark stage. This combined with ponos deliberately making some of the normal stones much harder to get than others (like getting 5 red stones out of hunter's mark 4 vs. being lucky to get 2 out of the same enigma) has made grinding into far more of a chore than it was in early game and has completely stonewalled my progress into zero legends in a way that doesn't feel fun or fair. In conclusion, beast stones still suck and ponos needs to change the way their stages work.

Imagine saying defense > 200% strengthen. Hot take: defense is a bottom two talent for Balrog. Would be bottom one if it wasn't for Balrog having resist wave for some reason. If you're using Balrog on stages where he's being juggled you're definitely using him wrong. Not to mention 20% HP increase just... doesn't really matter. If Balrog is being juggled at 100% HP he's still gonna be juggled at 120% HP. You've only increased his endurance by 7%, which is pretty minimal. I can't think of a single major interaction where that would change anything. Strengthen just revolutionizes Balrog. Imo Balrog wouldn't even be a top 10 uber without strengthen. Balrog strengthen is debatable as the best talent in the entire game. Balrog strengthen is god. This is blasphemy smh

I want smoke, so I'm gonna go all out. Raiden is one of the best designed anti-Reds for the value he offers. Sure, he may be about the same cost as Dasli and other really powerful units, but in his True Form with his Strong benefit, AND he always has guaranteed Knockback in all forms (already making him better than Kamukura for his trait) and he's fairly good as a generalist due to his healthy DPS. If and when Ponos makes a Ultra Form for him, I hope he gets Mini-Waves or even full waves. Yeah, I said it.

Here’s a list of a few random ones: Saki Eva 02 Dalisaan Ice cat Paladin Kenshin Kalisa Vars Jizo Sarukani Vigler Hayabusa Klay Tigerclaw Subterra Logistix Bazibasta Gigavolta Can you guess what all(well most, vigler definitely isn’t a specialist lol) these Ubers do? They are specialists, meaning that they focus on being very good at once specific niche. And within that niche, they have performance that absolutely dwarfs even the strongest of generalists, which makes them very useful in endgame content. Deale does not have this strength. I’d be hard pressed to find any time I’d ever actually use her. Also, the fact you’ve done parts of starred ul and still have this stupid ass viewpoint disappoints me even more.

Regarding that Pixie guy, yeah, they are very niche and only 2 go beyond the anti-alien trait, but Yaminora is a better wave blocker than the Wave Buster uber, which is a high credit to the banner. It also ain't gonna stop me from wasting 15 Dark Cateyes on Mizli in the name of memes :3 Regarding Dark Eyes... Hot Take: Ultra Talents are currently useless due to most ubers that have them don't seem worth the effort or don't change enough to equal the cost of getting them. Other Hot Take: Talents should affect the other forms of the Dark Heroes units simply due to how those units are built to work.

I'm not not sure how much of a hot take this is but I think Issun Boshi first form is actually really good and is better than second form especially if you boost him. Here's why: Issun Boshi V. Bullet train: The main unit Issun Boshi gets compared to is bullet train as the two are very similar but I think most people just believe he's a worse bullet train against because he does less damage per hit than bullet train against traitless but this fact is somewhat mitigated by the fact Issun Boshi has multiple KBs, so you'll often find that he'll get a few hits off and then die while bullet train might only get one hit off before perishing and even if Issun Boshi doesn't get a hit off it's not the biggest deal because he has a shorter cool down than bullet train by 7 seconds which is a pretty big margin. Issun Boshi V. Oni Landshaker Kozuchimaru: (his second form) Comparing Issun Boshi first form to his second form is a little bit tough due to the fact that they fulfill different niches. Overall I think his first form is better because with his second form he doesn't hit hard enough for what you're paying and he has a really annoyingly long foreswing for a rush unit in the style of something like Yukimura. Which against certain enemies like R. Ost require you to bring weaken/freeze in order for him to even maybe land a hit which is too much to ask for such a mediocre unit. (Hopefully his true form fixes his damage.) In conclusion, I think people undervalue a lot of the first form ultra souls and overlook them because of the legacy of Kasa Jizo assuming they'll be godly and be amazing even most of them are just usable and won't blow your socks off. Issun Boshi isn't going to rip apart angel and traitless stages but he does act as nice chip and damage support for your strategy which you can just throw into a angel/traitless lineup without being too much of an investment. (Don't use him as generalist though he sucks!)

Boshi's second form is based on Blanka with a damage decrease and trait targetting that demand good damage to even be usable against, against Angel? Surprisingly limited in options, it has the same weaknesses as Blanka against Gories as it is not that rare to see a Blanka getting kb'd multiple times by Gregory before landing a succesful hit, it doesnt work against Slepnir either. Traitless mostly suffers from the fact that Boshi 2nd form simply lacks the stats due to a lack of treasures and the damage decrease compared to Blanka, and the fact that alot of traitless are either ranged or very tanky.

I don’t really get the hot take for the elemental pixies because I think it’s totally okay to just have one trait, as long as you destroy that one trait. There are tons of Ubers who are only specialized but they’re still GOOD at their specializations LIKE the elemental pixies. Obviously they’re not good for anything other than alien but why is that such a bad thing? Apple cat and bomber cat are horrible against non reds and blacks, but does that make them a bad unit? No, it doesn’t. Bomber cat is one of if not the best anti black freezer, so it’s not BAD to be only for one trait. To me a good Uber set would be if you’re comparing the units to how good they are against their specific traits, not if they’re good against stuff overall because there are tons of Ubers that are only specialized for one trait and are poopoo against other things. It’s not fair to say elemental pixies is the worst set when they destroy aliens.

This is because literally every unit in those sets is extremely overpowered and for me it takes away the specialties of other sets. If those sets didn't exist, acquiring good units would be harder, thus making the game more difficult and challenging at the same time. Saying Pizza is not worth it as a generalist because Cancan is generally better (due to excelling in their niche as powerful single target attacker with double bounty) is kind of a weird take? Like in fact most Super Rares would by your logic be 'only good against their niche' just because Cancan is generally more valueable? I do not think Cancan can perform a level 2 wave attack for example. And Cancan has less range than Pizza as well (it cannot hit Rost while Pizza can). The battle cats already has a ton of Ealry/Midgame content, in some cases is actually overwhelming, there is no need for content for begginers, when they already have a lot of things to do, Advents, all of the normal campaing, Aku realms, SoL and UL, and then they will eventually get to Zl, but even then ponos still adds some begginer content like the Behemoth culling or Aku realms thaat was even balanced so everyone can play it at the same dificulty (bc of the lvl cap). I played for half a year and im in the last 4 stages of UL, and in all of my 7 months, never run out of content, and i fucking rushed out the game

About Garu, I do think he’s underrated but literally Hades is just better in most scenarios and not a fest at that (I don’t have Garu but I have Dark Garu and do enjoy him quite a bit) I think slapstick’s is ass to the point where I bring them on very few relic stages, pizza generally does the same job but better I’ve used Ramen cat in my line up since the beginning of the game, tbf I had an old save file from 6-8 years ago and I remember him being good, I used him all throughout my current play though as my 3rd meatshield. The lineup has been Manic Mohawk, Manic Eraser, and Ramen since I got the manics in mid-game

11:35 as a Jiangshit hater, I disagree. 90% of the time I used Ramen as a generalist meatshield, all I needed was biobone/cheating heart to make him spammable enough, and even then, in some stages you don't even *need* a research combo to use him. The thing is, unlike mohawk and jiangshit, ramen is a tanky meatshield, which doesn't allow the enemies to really move forward much, while with those two, the enemies usually make slow, but steady progress as they slowly push forward. Also, the talk about the cost implies that Jiangshi doesn't have the same issue. The only time I'd see usage of jiangshi and mohawk over ramen is in stages where there are really high dps enemies or bosses with insane damage output, because ramen doesn't really work well against that.

Housewife is a better anti-Zombie than Shigong. There are certain Zombies that actually have a high enough DPS to take out Shigong (Zang Roo, Zory, Lord Gravey, and potentially Zore and Zeal) and many of the enemies Shigong works on can be counter as well or better with Housewife. Probably Housewife’s biggest weakness is burrowing zombies, but weak peons that burrow usually get killed immediately by any other attacker you bring, and stronger zombies often respawn on a long enough timer (30-40 seconds) that you can unburrow many of them with Holy Blast. Lastly, Shigong does not have a low enough cooldown to work on mixed stages, since they only have Eraser health versus non-zombies but with three times the cooldown. Housewife can still slow zombies in mixed stages, and with savage blow talents, they can work as a generalist attacker.

As somebody with the majority of the top 10, I put Balrog firmly in top 3 and it's not even close. Can be brought on almost any stage, literally deletes bosses and even if an attack hits a peon or another enemy, that's a massive chunk. Also the numbers can't be ignored. My lvl 60+1 Balrog, with max talents, does 190k dps when strengthened and 1/3rd that unstrengthened. They brute force nearly any enemy in the game and I can rarely find reasons to remove them from the lineup unless the match up is particularly bad. He singlehandedly removes the need for a specialist dps outside specific enemies that counter him, mostly fast attacking CC or units with fast attack rate that deal more than his kb hp and outrange by a large margin.

Catasaurus is an incredibly overrated unit you will never use him as a generalist and his use against metal is okay at best his damage is awful and even with crits it is still pretty bad so catasaurus is barely a viable option against hard metal enemies not to mention his crit chance is obnoxiously low he can be a spammable critter who is not that hard to get but in my opinion that is only if don’t have any better units oh and btw I have heard people say that catasaurus is the best anti metal but I think that is absolutely ridiculous there are cats like Nanaho who are much harder to get and less spammable but if you are lucky enough to get her she is a much better anti metal IMO catasaurus is just a last ditch effort

Huge massive hot take: Personally, I don't get the hype about phono. He seems good, but when using him, it's really just meh. Though I know a lot of people don't let him sit at lvl 30, he only has 20k base dph. Another one: Mami is seriously underrated. With treasures and only lvl 40, she can deal over 200k per hit, her Blindspot isn't that big, can hit a range of 300-700, and counters almost every angel. As ramen can shut down a big chance for a blind spot to open. And with one shot, that doesn't even have that big of a foreswing, that's a lot of hp broken off of angel units. And it helps that most angels are melee units too. Like saint dober, the angel bore, angelic gory, hippoe, and doge. As well as winged piggee as Mami has a great boost of range to avoid her safely. "But benkai outclasses her!" Sure he does, but it's a legend rare w better stats. Mami is still a great choice for angels during any part of the game, and is really good with general usage outside of her niche as well, providing decent usage as lvl 40 can give her 40k+ dmg per hit

My hot takes, in case if you didn't your opinion. - It doesn't make sense that Master Uril curses the units, cause he's not a relic enemy. - Savior Mystica is a underrated uber cause her slow is good, which she can be used together with Rodeo or Ciberpunk, or Bombercat, to compensate Mystica's uptime, besides, Rodeo and Cyberpunk have their own issues like single target and blindspot respectively, meanwhile Mystica doesn't have any of that problems. - Megidora is a better generalist than Ururun, cause Ururun is, imo, a boring unit that doesn't have anything that boost her damage, which Megidora does, Wave Attack with talents (I know it's 15%, but it's stull ok.). - The Li'l Cats TFs stages should they have the Rare and EX units restriction removed, because that makes some levels like Li'l Dark, Li'l Jameira, and Li'l Cat and Li'l Eraser very difficult, for the lack of good ubers, super rares and legend rares. Or at least, let us use legend rare units.

The resctions on the little stage's are the intioer point of the stages so getting ride of it makes no sense

The restrictions are what make the li'l cats stages interesting stages. Li'l Cat wouldn't have been interesting if you could just cyberstack to victory. Li'l Jamera wouldn't have been an interesting stage if you could just use Yaminora or eva-00 to break the stage. Li'l Axe wouldn't have been interesting if you could just use Colossal Benkei to insta-kill all the angels. Getting rid of the restrictions on these stages would make these stages lose their unique qualities and turn them into boring and forgettable stages.

Maybe, but the main problem is... The EX/Rare units restriction is the same in all Lil's TFs stages. If you compare the restrictions in all Advent and Cyclone Cats' TFs stages in the 1st, ofc, these at least have a different unit restriction. If you compare them to the Li'l Cats' TFs stage, the EX/Rare units restriction in all of Li'l Cats' TFs stages are boring and lame in fact.

Hot take: aphrodite is pretty terrible, 3,409dps and 140 ~ 131.2 recharge time? you need SIX MINUTES to even get 10k dps, if you want a long lasting dps uber, use dark beastlord garu, he has 150k hp and 6k dps, but he gets 12k dps when strenghtened at 50% hp, plus hes resistant to traitless and also has a level 5 miniwave which gives around as much atack reach as aphrodite, and being anti traitless is alot better than being anti alien, there are 2 uber sets that have great debuffs vs alien, plus you have seafarer - but for traitless? screw you and take teacher bearcat. In short, dbl garu is a much better, up close and anti traitless version of aphrodite.

D. Garu can't take aphro's position since he's worse at chipping enemy backliners.

Hot take: Sanzo slow angel is nowhere near as good a talent as it's made out to be. There are only three targets that it's reliable on which need to be CCed: Cyclone, Boraphim, and St. Dober. Cyclone is irrelevant, Boraphim can be permastalled by Ramen Cat, and St. Dober... (alr it's kinda useful on St. Dober). But at the end of the day I see people calling it a top 5 talent, a must invest, etc. when I managed to get through all of Starred SoL and UL without purchasing it. It's undoubtedly a great talent but imo it's nowhere near top tier like many people believe. My opinion might change once I get further in starred UL where Ramen will get shredded but throughout earlygamne all the way to late game Sanzo target angel is just decent

You conveniently left out Angelic Gory which is a strong pusher. A group of them can shred through anything that isn't Ramen faster than Boraphim or Cyclone, even Ramen might not be enough if it isn't boosted enough (try fighting Angelic Gory with only lvl40 Ramen). Sanzo's angel talent which is a cheap 50 NP can counter the horde reliably with area attack and perma slow which is incredibly helpful. Not to mention that we don't have enough anti angel for early/mid game with only Ramen and Juliet as the only option (Mushroom and Farmer are late game and you have to fight the cancerous Rajakong for it).

@@Only4two100bucks Why would you slow Angelic Gory though. You can just use a DPS stack. Even 4* UL Angel Gory waves I didn't use Sanzo and did just fine. Plus due to the low endurance of Gory variants your Sanzos will just die to a backliner. Also the entire reason Sanzo slow is mid is due to the existence of Ramen. It would be a great talent if it wasn't for Ramens existence being so strong that it completely negates the need for slow. They're the exact same rarity as well. Only time I might consider buying Sanzo angel is 3* Boraphim waves or 3* St. Dober when my Ramen won't be enough. Otherwise I'm perfectly fine rn with my floating Sanzo

An Angelic Gory at 400% has around 40k dps and around the 400k health, and often appears in groups. And they can appear up to 600% Unless you call ubercarry, or other crowd control, or have like actually time to stack dps, ramen does not simply suffice. I still sorta agree with the take, and Sanzo in general becomes less relevant the later you go, all and all.

I dont think still that Sanzo actually is overrated in lategame by the community anyways, but it is still a great talent for SoL where Mushroom is not really obtainable yet (Rajakong is simply harder to beat than practically most SoL stages).
