I decided to build a castle in a swamp. Everyone said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built in all the same, just to show them. It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up.

I have hundreds of hours in this game, helped them testing through Beta. It's very good, although you do have to forgive one or two of it's nuances (that will probably be patched out).

I hear ya about black friday Nook! I've been the General Manager/Store Manager for 25+ years working for CompUSA, some retail mall stores, I worked in BestBuy as an independent rep for a major internet provider, for a couple years I sold all major cell phones & contracts... anyways you get the idea. These days I'm more of a consultant than anything but those years back in late 90s/early 2000's were crazy! Now when I hear black friday I try to avoid going out to any store if possible. Unless people actually worked in places like us, they really have no idea, it's almost impossible to describe to someone the chaos of standing inside when they unlock the doors @ 5am and let the mob of people rush inside. Usually I'd have been up for 24hrs already and was required to be at the store from 3 or 4 am until 6pm or later... CRAZY TIMES my man....crazy times.

I haven't played this game at all, so maybe the answer is obvious if you have: why assign the crops to grow in 2 rows, then a gap, 2 rows, etc? Why not just one large till field?

there is a reason even if Nook didn't realise - crops get ill, illness can pass between adjacent crops! (I think)

It is still unfinished and buggy. They will need a couple of more months of work to debug and polish what they have. Suggestion for your next play, disable architects and the other builder family in the modules, they are just a fix to slow down the players from building and they bring zero contribution to the village's economy. Check the Steam forums and you will see.

They added features a bit fast. They should have taken a bit more time to debugging in my opinion but they work pretty swift so I hope they will work on bugs properly too.
