- Euronymous didn't have a girlfriend. - He didn't cut his hair before he died (his hair was cut when the autopsy was done on his body, mainly because he was stabbed several times in the skull). - They only got to play Mayhem songs in the movie because Øystein's family allowed it. - No one who was actually part of the scene back then wants to be involved with this movie in any way (not only Varg, who can be considered "controvertial". But even Fenriz, who is a chilled and down to earth person, said this movie/book was: "The Worst Idea Since Un-Sliced Bread") so just from this fact alone, you should know this movie is a big fucking pathetic lie. Please, don't support this movie (it's a fucking Vice production). Don't make this movie be the face for black metal. It pisses me off that people who will eventually get into black metal will have this movie as "an opening door" for the scene. It's truly sad and a lack of respect that they made this "teen flick" movie to portray a real story where people actually died and their families suffer until this day. Ps. Jonas Åkerlund is a Hollywood sellout and a poser, who relies on the fact that "he was part of Bathory". When actually he wasn't even the drummer for the self-entitled album.

I love Black Metal & its disturbing history. But this movie is making a mockery of the whole movement & what it stands for. Pretty spiteful & poor form of the director Jonas Akerlund to cast a jewish person as Varg Vikernes. It was done solely to infuriate him & to cause ill will. To not even have norwegian accents or dialogue goes against the whole concept. Black Metal was not created to be westernised or americanised.

This gives some nice insight into Åkerlund's attitude towards realism. It is clear that it was always intended to be a sensationalist Hollywood cash-in on some real people's lives. I guess Necrobutcher suddenly decided to support the movie only after he was offered a nice bag of money. Will not be paying to see this when it comes out.

As seen with Until The Light Takes Us from 2008, it is definitely possible to make something worth watching about the early Norwegian black metal scene, but this movie is based on a sensationalist un-researched book, not the actual events. So the bad thing is, they are marketing it as a biopic about actual people, while taking numerous incriminating liberties to make the story more entertaining. They were not given permission by most of the people portrayed, nor their relatives, which in the case of Dead's family is pretty terrible. I guess from a legal perspective the Hollywood lawyers have their backs clear, but that doesn't mean this kind of tabloid filmmaking is a morally acceptable way to earn money.

Are you into the music, do you understand the music,and are you from Norway ? Why recreate something that happened in the 90's,and why must it be repeated ? We heard about it in the news,and different stories,and we are sick of hearing about it,as are the real people that lived it. Put the past in the past because it is the past. It's not even about the cast or how much they suck playing these musicians,my point isthis movie should of never been made because it is disrespectful to even make it. Make a circus out of someone's grief or a bad time,than add brat casts from rich families that don't know nothing about the music or what happened. They weren't even bloody born. Once again do you understand black metal ? I mean real black metal not this Dimmu,Cradle of filthe rubbish your yuppy mind would think is black metal. Not the music featured on "so and so reacts to hardcore music" lol I am black metal, because where I live these is a forest of elm trees in my backyard,and there is a fjord when I look out my kitchen window. Saxon 4 when your people murder each other that’s grounds for a storyteller to make art and to let the world know what happened here. imagine taking black metal more serious than film making. grow up brother, i know black metal as well as the next Norwegian. coming from someone who hasn’t even seen the film you sound entitled and weirdly biased. just because your neighborhood is tired of hearing about it doesn’t give you the right to lock up the story in a vault to hide from the rest of the world. these “brat kids” are professionals of their craft who have studied this story for half a decade and invested years of their career into retelling it for a universal audience to understand what kind of showmanship and idiocy actually took place here...
@Alfadanz16 жыл бұрын
Why must it be told ? There Is no excuse for this story or time. Let it be over,let it be forgotten so everyone can move on,and enjoy life. It's too shourt to elaborate on such a time of sadness,and misunderstanding. We don't even know what really happened. So enough of that. You are talking to a pagan that hikes everyday,loves odin,and despises this rubbish modern way of thinking so good luck on convincing of what Hollywood meant and wants. To start I don't give a bloody shite about your excuse as to why a sad time must be told,and I don't give a rats arse about what you think art is because it isn't art. Art is when you look outside,and draw or write about what you see,and be unique about it,and this rubbish is copying,and it isn't unique or what you see,it is what you heard. Entitled ? You seem entitled to agree this money making rubbish needs to be shown. You are the one that is biased,and also let's add selfish. These brats are professionals ? lol No these kids are brats of washed up Hollywood brats that suck at making a movie now { Didn't they always suck ? lol Home Alone ?} so now their children or siblings are their only hope to keep the "name" going lol Professionals ? Also as far as Akerlund goes,he in the past of Bathory,and decided to go "HOLLYWOOD". He is a sellout,and poser,and he is not even Norwegian. Once again this is not art,this is copying,and making money off other's grief. We don't care because we heard about this idiocy through the years.

Yes it’s a shame that we have this amazing yet terrifying story behind mayhem and not a lot has been made film wise about it. And this is purely the reason why. You can’t recreate something that happened like this nor can you truly understand the meaning of it all, and what happens. Some things should be left alone, if you can’t show the truth about it all then what’s the point of making a film about it

I know what blonde hair is and that blonde is highlighted from the bottle lol I am sure he wanted to be like Ohlin at the time before he decided to dye his hair black. Even if Euronymous didn't have black hair his hair would at least be a medium brown. Mayhem live 86 ?
