Jesus. I had so many issues with my starting weapon. I had to try so many things to get past the first area with any heals left. The spear being single target really threw me off. I thought it was bc I was under leveled, because two handing it didn’t do much better? Shouldn’t two handing do more damage?! Doesn’t it in Fromsoftware games? But I put a crap weapon in other hand and dual wielding made me attack faster and more AOE. Then it was easier.

First real boss kicked my butt repeatedly until I slowed down and just watched, then the fight became much easier. Kind of like Parade Master in LoP, take it slow and look for openings, then attack, don't force it or you'll wind up back at the site of grace thing quickly.

Beat lies of p last week and have been playing lotf since then and they both have their own small problems but in the end they're awesome and I love them both equally at the moment..a lot of people just like to complain or "pick sides" instead of just playing the cool game..id give both games easily 9/10

Combat's pretty smooth in this. Still in first main area levelling up for Boss Lady but enjoying so far. Recommend to anyone on the fence, nice break from Baldur's. 😄

You don’t need to get too yoked, the first boss is meant to teach you proper mechanics(a skill check) you should work to pass the skill check not to do so much dps that she’s a cake walk. Plus smart choice boulders is a bore and a half

My beginner tip: save 19K and buy the key from the captain. You'll get access to 2-3 difficult areas that you can cheese your way through and get advanced gear and upgrade rocks. Let's you get to +6/7 weapon super early in the game. Trust me it's worth the struggle!

Pvp isnt really viable until they change alot of things. Right now it runs off host connection so invaders deal with massive rubberbanding issues, the combat between players has no tuning, etc.

Yeah, it's possible, but it's definitely taking the hard road. Starting out with either of the casters is gonna make your 1st 4-5 hours harder than it needs to be. If you want to go that route, there's additional starting options after finishing the game once, that are more optimized for casting. See the wiki if interested. What you could do though, is take the Mournstead class, favor hp early (and a little bit of endurance if you feel like you need the stamina), then go to agility, and THEN go to casting. It'll make your life way easier, and by that point, you'll actually have a solid spell selection. As stated in the video, scaling isn't great in LotF, at least not till later in the game, so survivability comes 1st, then build the agility when you're comfortable (to start getting ready to beef up your melee), find a weapon you like and upgrade it, and then you can build your inferno. You're definitely better off in this game, as a hybrid caster/melee, than pure casting; and yes, it's a viable build, but you won't really have it even partially online until at least the mid game. If you're skilled, and you're ok with being un-optimized for the 1st 1/3 of the game, then it's definitely doable, and will be 🔥 later on. Good luck crusader!

To swap between 1 and 2 handing a weapon press Y on Xbox controller or triangle on PS controller. This will also enable you to dual wield weapons or carry a shield. Not sure for keyboard. I don’t have an answer for the other questions unfortunately.

Need to add keyboard/mouse button mapping is bad, and cant even remap the umbral lamp/range weapon toggle from the CTRL button, so you have to hold that button down with your pinky to keep lamp/range attack ready, whilst also using wasd and any other buttons, it feels really bad....ohh, and who thought it was a good idea making the jumping mechanic having to press V to sprint then pressing the F button to actually then jump. The button layouts and keymapping may be the jenkiest part of the game...

PLEASE HELP! I'm somwhere around level 17-18 (I don't remember for sure) but my resistance stats has not increased once! And it doesn't matter if I choose agility, vitality, strength etc. No change to my resistance?! Is it supposed to be like that? There are arrows with green numbers to the right of my current stats but they just show that the next level will not grant me any progress on my resistance stats. Loving the game otherwise though.

1st softcap is 50, then 75. Not really worth going past that. There are some weapons that have high scaling, (I think I've seen A, not sure about S), but to put in perspective: many weapons have D, going up to C typically. With, let's say C-C (str/agi. As an example. It's actually often worse than that.) You'll be getting roughly 3 points of damage per point in the main stat, and 2-3 per point in the other. And that's a Good scaling weapon for 1/2 the game. Come endgame, with an A scaling weapon, and 75 points of the stat, I'm sure you'll be doing beefy damage, but you'll definitely notice it's not as high as something like ER. It's a little bit less than in Lies of P, if that reference helps, I'm only about 1/2 way right now, maybe less; so I can't say for sure; but from what I've seen from streamers and content creators, your damage stat doesn't really feel all that important until the build/weapon is finally fully online. However, the upgrades for weapons are nice. That's all I'll say. There's a damage calculator up somewhere, you can compare it there. Good luck.

Never buy vigor skulls It’s a waste you can find them in open world you get a free device if you die in the normal world and umbral you on get one life so if you have dropped souls and are in the umbral just rest or if you can get a totem before hand jyst play it safe

It's so dumb that souls don't automatically go to your inventory like Dark Souls. I do not enjoy running over to every bad guy killed by coop partner to collect a resource. This gameplay makes me feel like I'm playing a lego game.

Every video i come across is trash. None ever explain the UI and there meanings. On the stat screen, what does the hands, eye's, gold emblem, etc. For? I know what they are for because i figured it out but most people won't know what all the UI stuff means. It's a tip video so share stuff that's actually meaningful.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
