RIP Stiv Bators...great voice gone. Passed away in his sleep after being struck by a taxi in 1990. He assumed he wasn't hurt and left the hospital before seeing a doctor, but he did in fact have a concussion and most likely other trauma to his brain. He was a fan of Jim Morrison of The Doors and had asked his girlfriend that should he ever die that he wanted to be cremated and his ashes scattered on Morrison's grave. She did in fact do this for him.

Stiv, Ya left this world in such a silent and unexpectable way with no chance to say goodbye... Hopefully Ya jam there upstairs with Johnny Thunders, Razzle Dingley, Ramones Family and the other of such a few and only who has understand the truly meaning of the Rock'n'roll Music... What Stiv didn't know, is when he was taken to a different realm or experience, he was experiencing trance behavior, where music or chants create an out of body experience. Stiv didn't realize, that he was a SHAMAN, and had a link to the other side during music trances. It's how religions were formed.

Yes, he did. It was at the Lords show at the Hot Klub in Dallas Texas in 1983. They had just been here the month prior and played the Agora Ballroom. Stiv tossed the mic cord over the lighting trestle and was standing on a drum speaker with the cord wrapped around his neck when the speaker fell over, leaving him hanging for over 10 seconds. He turned blue before the guitar player climbed up there and cut him down. Ambulance came, gave him CPR and the Paddles. He didn't remember anything.
