Interesting strats! No castles built, luckily you had map protection to build up. I'm guessing it's better to let a county go neutral first so that the moral recovers, then take over the county later?

Thank you. I considered building a castle for extra tax revenue, but it wasn't necessary. I was actually trying to take as few counties as possible because it was a complete pain to keep them fed. My first push into Europe went belly up due to armies eat being enabled. My troops were dying from starvation due to the long walk of shame from Canada to Europe. I tried taking Canada, but the AI was ruthless. Fortunately, my first push weakened the Countess enough so I could end the game on my next wave.
